Keep in mind the RAR and ZIP contain an outdated terrain.png, you'll have to download it from the main post until I recompile the folders in the next items and such update.
Wood tools are just pretty simple looking.
Stone tools are rough or broken looking.
Iron tools are mostly just like normal.
Diamond tools are pointy and fancy.
Gold tools are pretty insane. (But, who uses gold tools anyway? xD)
Milk looks like lava for absolutely no reason.
Diamond is universally the same color. (except in 3rd person view, but I haven't touched those at all yet.)
The Boat icon and the actual boat have proper matching wooden textures.
Just download Brandcraft_v2.zip or .rar from the new download link in the main post :biggrin.gif:
Oh, also, I changed the first screenshot in the main post, and provided a high resolution version. I just think it shows off the pack better.
Minor update... as with all minor updates, the zips and such won't be recompiled, I'm just going to give you the one image that was changed :biggrin.gif:
Mainly, it was to add the compass. But while I was there, I made small improvements to the uranium stick, and made milk an upside-down bucket for no reason other than that I am probably insane.
The next major zip-recompiling update will probably be mobs :biggrin.gif: I'm still thinking of ideas, so if you any suggestions, go ahead and suggest. The only one I've drawn so far is slimes.

I like this texture pack a lot.
Especially the cobblestone.. looks epic.
There are a few things I don't like though..
The Trees don't really fit in to me, the leaves aren't that bad but the trunks are to dark,
you should lighten them up.The compass is really weird. It's just a floating arrow..
You should change it.
I haven't seen all of it in-game yet, just loaded it up for a minute and that's what I noticed.
I've been really busy lately, and on the days I wasn't busy, I was sick. But this weekend I actually have some free time :biggrin.gif: I'm still sick, but less so, so I'll deal.
Now, so far, I had started on mobs. And by started, I mean I made slimes adorable for no reason.
That's all I've done though, mostly because I spent 3 hours afterwards trying to find a slime, unsuccessfully. So I'm not really sure how it looks on actual slimes. In fact, I haven't seen any slimes for at least a month. Is there a reason for this that I missed? :|
But in the interest of updating at least a little bit, here's the slime.png :biggrin.gif:
I've since given up looking for slimes, so I'll see if I can get the rest of the mobs done, too. If you have any ideas for them, there's still time left to tell me! :ohmy.gif:
EDIT: And, yes, when all the mobs are finished, I'll make sure to update the actual zips and rars. As well as updating the items to include the compass and fishing rod. I just don't want to update them for every mini-update.
There's not a ton of variation in saturation or value, so the textures all have equal visual importance at a glance. I'd mix up those two values a bit. Everything's a bit draped in saturated hues atm.
So, I've decided to go in the direction of making Brandcraft mod friendly! Behold, the new terrain.png:
Of course, I'll have to update it frequently. If you see some that are lacking (I don't doubt that I missed something), let me know and I'll add it :biggrin.gif: I've kept the art from other mods the same,for the time being. So far that would be the Chainmail mod, the Obsidian Tools mod, the Egg and Cheese Mod, and the Elemental Arrows Mod. I've just made it so you don't have to constantly add overlays :smile.gif:
Also, here's a screenshot. It shows the proper signs that my mod has, since last time I'd forgot to install them before taking all the screenshots. And some of the icons, as well as the proper HUD. :smile.gif:

Version 3.2 is out! It's not a major update by any means, but it does add significant mod support... well, for the main ones I've bumped into so far. It'll be an ongoing project. :biggrin.gif: I also touched up some of the other graphics, but only slightly. You can find it in the main post ^^
Also, I STILL have not seen any slimes, but I did find this old screenshot I took so you can finally see what my mod does to them :biggrin.gif: Linkity
(Of course, it's slightly different now. But it basically still looks like that.)

Since not everyone wants their cobblestone to be bricks, I've made a much more cobbletastic alternative! It's not really going to be part of the main texture, although if people really like it, I might include it in another folder or something when I make new zips and such. Here's a screenshot with it in action:

Any of my previous threads are not going to be used by me anymore.
I have no idea why winrar is so popular. I use 7-zip, personally. Free and opens minecraft.jar all nice like.
On topic, this is pretty cool. Just try using a less sucky file host. I recommend 4shared.
