ok can somebody tell me after i downloaded the B & B classic texture pack and then did the HD texture fix is it supposed to say minecraft version 1.2_01?(even tho there has been a new update) and plus after that the grass and animals look different
Ok, this texture pack support is tricky, because it doesn't actually change the foilagecolor.png and grasscolor.png to the ones i put in the zip file. So if you want the full experience you'll still have to replace them manually or you'll be stuck with the original colors. In fact, B&B Vanilla sort of works as is, but it's still highly recommended to replace them.
Was this problem fixed, because everything looks fine on mine and I didn't have to manually switch anything myself. Only issue I'm having is that the pickax looks a little wonky, like some squares are missing here and there. Anything I'm doing wrong, or is there a way to fix that? I'm on a mac, not sure how much that changes things.
I don't know, maybe. I tried on two different machines and on both I had to do everything myself. A certain way of telling wether they're old ones or the new ones is that there are a lot of autumn-themed biomes:
Look, I'm not going to just give up on something I spent my entire week on. If you hate my icons tell me WHY you hate them so i could make them BETTER or simply delete items.png and stop whining. I don't give a damn if you "loved the old version more", i need criticism, not just your opinion.
And I still don't have a single save file with working Nether.
Being very helpful here, guys!
I can give you my save with nether. How do I upload it? I know where the files are but not sure how to put in online.
Also, I know there are some issues, with MCpatcher it messed up minecraft, and with the new texture pack update it looks off. Is it because the game bumped it down to 16 x 16, it did so with painterly's to. Is this a Notch update issue or a non-compatible issue that needs to be fixed with a future Browncraft update?
Diamond_Duck: Nah, thanks, already got the Nether save from bk12321.
Is this a Notch update issue or a non-compatible issue that needs to be fixed with a future Browncraft update?
Whether it's Notch's or xau's issue, it's not something _I_ personally can fix. My pack is just your traditional compilation of 32x32 textures, nothing more.
I installed the pack, it's amazing. However, I noticed a bug with Gold Blocks. The upper right quadrant of each face of the block is the fire animation. Also, the background seems to let me see straight through to the bedrock :ohmy.gif:
This wouldn't be much of a problem, except I use Gold Blocks to mark every place I want to go back and explore (it stands out very well in minutor). In addition to that, I made a house out of Gold Blocks. It looks strange to say that least haha.
Found a bug! When u have 9 gold bricks (or something like that) converted to an actual gold block, 1/4 of that block looks like it's on fire (??) Guessing something went wrong xD

The fix for both of these is in the original post of the thread for a reason.
Hi there, I was using your texture pack before the halloween update and I really loved it, it's my favourite texture pack so far. Everything blends in together perfectly, and my castle has a real homely feel to it, it's very pretty. I dislike your latest update to it though (classic version), I just installed it, and found some problems/personal dislikes with it, so here's my criticism:
1) Gravel is now too pink-looking, and sticks out like a sore thumb, especially from a distance, it does not blend in like every other block, and looks quite unattractive.
2) The animal's faces now look like life-less burn victims to me, the default skins have more life to them, I'm talking mostly about the eyes. :Sheep:. With the default animal faces, when they look at you, you feel like they're really looking at you, with your new ones it just feels like they're blank and soul-less. I've found I like the painterly pack animal faces the best because they have very friendly, lively faces, my suggestion is make them more lively, therefore making them more appealing. I like your monster skins a lot though.
3) There's one problem that may be caused by Xau's "fix" mod, but I'm not 100% sure. Water and lava no longer have animations when they are still, for example, I'm pretty sure water used to glimmer and move slightly before, it doesn't now. There's also the portal animation and watch problem which I know are caused by Xau's mod.
4) The colours of flowers have been reversed, I have a safehouse called the "Red Hill Safehouse", where I had the top covered in red flowers. Well, it's now the yellow hill safehouse apparently.
5) Not really digging the autumn colours/biomes, everything just looks dead and unattractive to me, lush green is much better. I'm gonna remove those.
Other than that I still love the other textures and think they are perfect, I'm gonna try edit terrain.png and change the gravel, water and lava until they are changed/fixed. I have enjoyed your texture pack very much despite my sudden dislikes, and I thank you for your hard work

How strange, I read the OP multiple times both before AND after I experienced this bug, yet I see nothing mentioning any gold block bugs.
Is it the "obligatory texture fix"?

Nevermind, I found the patcher, but that doesn't work for me. Tried it about 1000 times last night.
I tried putting a .zip file into the texturepacks folder, but all the netherstone and the corners of pumpkins look like running water. I love this pack and I use it all the time in Multiplayer, but if the Nether is going to be blue, I'll just stick with a lower resolution pack. http://grab.by/7nHJ http://grab.by/7nHI
@ipodcrazy523 & anyone else.
This is how I got mine to work:
*Make sure to backup your saves before doing this*
- Find your bin folder in your minecraft folder, it should be here: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin (The appdata folder is hidden, be sure you have hidden files shown)
- Open the "Minecraft.jar" file in that bin folder, this is what contains all the textures.
- Open the blood & brown texture pack, and move all files (replace) into that minecraft.jar file (this will replace the default textures with the blood & brown ones, to undo this you will have to either delete the bin folder and minecraft will auto-download the files again, or re-install Minecraft altogether)
- Run Xau's McPatcher found on the first post of this thread
Xau says on his mod page that his patcher will not work with textures that are simply placed in the texture pack folder to be chosen on the main menu. Which means the only way you will get it to work is by doing it the manual way as shown above. This will fix the fire on gold blocks, the running lava, water and fire animations, and the nether being all blue (there are still some other bugs). Hope that helps.
1. I was having a massive amount of issues, but then I reinstalled everything minecraft related on my computer (backed up saves) ran the MCpatcher, and now I'm good. Everything looks like it did before.
2. One thing I noticed however is that my water is and has always been with the pack, a little different. I'm not sure if this is normal, it still flows, but I want to know if it's right. Can someone upload a pic of their Browncraft water?
3. I'm not using the new texture option, should I? Will it still work at 32x32? More over, if I put another texture pack in the texturepack folder, can I just use the default button to run the Brown and Bloom that I've installed?
Excellent texture pack, It is one of my favorites at the moment.
I have a few suggestions/criticisms.
The stone is a rather plain, perhaps make it look a little more interesting by adding subtle cracks. The plain look just makes it a little less fun to use as a building material.
It is hard to differentiate between a stone and iron pick.
It can be hard to differentiate between stone and cobblestone in the inventory.
With there being a health bar instead of the hearts it is difficult to tell exactly how much food is needed to reach full health.
a thing i have with 2 rectangles of diamond looking thing i tried posting but it hasn't appeared or maybe i clicked the wrong button anyway its the thing im holding can someone tell me what it is http://tinypic.com/r/28jef06/7
Yeah, i was wondering this myself. I have one of these in my chest. Does anyone know what this is? I applied the texture fix, so I can't just easily switch back to the default skin. What is this odd object?
