I would like to thank those who have contributed images. The realistic round sun and moon are both great improvements. I couldn't get it to work at first, but since I've figured it out. Just in case anyone is having the difficulty I did, I would like to share my solution.

I placed the images in "minecraft.jar/terrain" as the instructions said. However, everything was unchanged. I was still seeing the dot!

Thing is, I was also using a texture skin. The solution was to place the files in the 'terrain' folder of the zip-files used as well (and then re-zip them). If you use a rotating skin, then you would need to place these files in the terrain folder of each texture.

Seems simple now, but just in case someone else has a similar problem, perhaps my facepalm moment will have had a purpose :smile.gif:

I think it would be cooler, though, if you could have Prospit as the sun, with Derse as the moon. I mean, sure, Derse is nowhere near Skaia, but I still think it would be more atmospheric.

FOUND ONE! NOW MAKE THESE!

Found this image of our sun on the internet, then resized it to 512x512. Looks quite nice, and huge. Easily resizable to smaller sizes.
