Oh, and Enchanted is 1.8 (sorta 1.9) compatible now. I haven't finished reskinning all the 1.9 textures, but all the defaults have been added in so that people don't get purple blocks or invisible items. :tongue.gif:
EDIT: Lost valley, Doll house, and Assassini are also 1.8 compatible.
Is it possible to change the biome colors for grass and such via a texturepack, or can it only be done in a mod?
Also, how did people get the higher res versions of the defualt textures? If somone upscaled them without runing the quality, could you tell me who so I can contect them to upscale my current pack so I don't have to re-do it from scratch for when I make it high res?

To upscale a 16x16 texture pack to, say, a 64x64 pack without any image-blurring/smoothing in Photoshop, go to the Image menu and select "Image size...". Now change the width and height from pixels to percentage and set them to 400%. Finally, under the "Resample Image:" drop down menu, change it from "Bicubic" to "Nearest Neighbour". Click "OK".
Not sure how this is done in other applications though.
Is this what you meant?
I know how to do that :tongue.gif:
The reason I ask is because with that method, you'd have too much alialsing and such, you can't scale up an image up that much without a large loss in quality.
But then I know that people got a high res version of the default textures, which would mean that:
1. Mjoang released them, and they were already made
2. Somone made them from scratch
or 3. Somone upscaled the normal one, and used software to make the quality the same as the normal res version.
If it was 3, then that person would be VERY useful for me when I make a higher res version of my texturepack, cause otherwise, i'd have to make it from sratch.
Still need the biome color question answered though.
With that method there is no loss of quality. As long as you're scaling up either 200% (32x32), 400% (64x64), 800% (128x128) or 1600% (256x256), and you've selected 'nearest neighbour' and not 'bicubic' then there will be no 'blurring' or anti-aliasing whatsoever.
It's really important that "nearest neighbour" is selected, and not "bicubic" or any of the other options, otherwise Photoshop will smooth the resize instead of accurately scaling, (similar to vector scaling).
You really should either take down that 'favorite pack' poll, or add in the new packs. It's kinda frustrating to keep clicking on it and never find my packs on there, lol.

EDIT:
Wait, that upscales it without ANY disortion?
I need to find out how to do that in gimp...
Okay, that makes more sense.
Now, what about the Biome thing?
NOOOOOOOOO CAN'T DO IT! :ohmy.gif:
and how do I post screenshots
The swamp grass and water colors are both coded in and can't be changed :/
Hopefully Notch will fix that for the full 1.9 release.
D:
That's the one I wanted to change the most :/
I'm upadting my texture pack from 1.6, so I need to know what texture belong to what.
