I was attempting to use it earlier and upon trying to resize the pic in adf.ly where it is hosted, I was infected with a virus in the form of a fake virus detector program called windows vista security 2011. There were also a few additional viruses including keyloggers and file creation programs designed to phish for personal information. Luckily my AVG spotted it immediately, but I had a heck of a time removing the virus and restoring my computer. So I cannot stress this enough....DON'T CLICK THAT LINK!!! I sent a PM to the OP as well warning him of this issue in the hopes of a speedy fix.
Sorry, but there's nothing wrong with the link. Its gotten over 300,000 views and imageshack is a trusted site. The only reason I could think for the false warning is an adf ad in the banner, but either way, it's still just a false warning.
AVG has the worst false detection rates ever. Use a better anti virus.
I'm not trying to be mean here, but honestly... It clearly says the Display Screenshot should be 320px in width. If you wanted to have this as an IG screenshot, then you're still in the wrong, as that is supposed to be all in one image.
EDIT: You sneaky sneak, you! Suddenly changing the image to a 320px one without any notice! Now I look like the crazy one =(
I want to submit my texture pack, but there seems to be an issue with how the games handles transparency.
My glass texture I used was originally only barely opaque, but in game, it loaded as entirely transparent.
I then set it so that it's opaque transparent as ice, but still opaque. When I loaded the game, glass was just as solid as ice was.
Now, having changed it again, this time as a test, being more opaque then ice in the terrien.png file, it shows up as entirely solid in game.
This, combined with the fact that I had a partial transparent skull on the mob spanner texture, which then comes out as a solid black skull silloute, makes me think the game only loads transparency in extremes, either 100% clear, 50/50, or 100% solid.
Now, I haven't noticed anybody else mention this, nor is it on any bug list I have seen.
How do I get around this? can it be fixed, some how?
It's not a bug. It's how the game loads the textures.
Only Ice is supported to have semi-transparency (translucency).
(Well, and Water, but you can only have custom water with the Patcher)
There is a mod that also enables semi-transparency for glass textures, but you'd have to require all your users to download that mod, which might not be something you want to do.

Is there any chance you think that this may be changed in a patch? It kinda does against a lot of the reasons why the .png is used in the first place, not a jpeg, right?
I guess i'll have to figure something out then for the glass... I wonder how I got it half transperent then on my second try...

You couLd use fancy pack's stained glass mod. Betterglass used to have an alpha layer feature but it was removed during this release. It will be back in the future.

Dude thats alpha.Beta is different(this isnt for HD)
1.Download it from whatever you download it from
2.Go to your downloads and copy/cut what you saved in that folder
3.Paste the folder in your texture packs
4.Go on minecraft
5.go on mods and texture packs
6.There you will find your texture pack
HD is the same but you just download the MCPATCHER and patch minecraft.If the sea says use the patcher noob you must go patch minecraft again.You dont need winRAR then

first person who tells you theyre updated and confirmed, gets to be on the top of the list, and so on and so on. last updated pack is at the bottom.
When are you are updating the texturepack version to 1.6? If i have to say it here, i have it done with this post. My Texturepack "Traditional Beauty" in 64x64p is working with the current verison. But if you are going to update all texturepacks at once take your time, i just wanted to ask. :smile.gif:

If I can't have these, then I can just remove the art folder from the zip and use that, instead.

Umm, I don't want this to be a race to the top, especially if it's guided by the time you spend on these forums rather than the effort you put into your pack. I like the current system of giving each new pack a week or two on the top of the list to get around 50,000 views, and the upcoming poll votes will determine which top texture packs will be labeled as popular as they've obviously earned it.
There will be some sort of rating system next to a few of the top textures in each resolution section. The top 5 SD packs will get 3 starts next to the display image, the top 6-10 2 stars, and 11-15 1 star. Then the top 5 HD packs will get 3 stars, 6-10 2, and 11-15 1.
