Ok, it took some time but I updated the list with more images.
Also @Koolwitak, I suggest you work on your grass a bit more as it creates some ugly dark patterns when it tiles. You could either kind of smooth it all out or darken up the left side so that it'd be all the same shade and color all throughout.
@kabanos, It looks ok now :tongue.gif:
lol...wow

Yeah... I know... I've just been avoiding doing that since its going to be a pain in the ass to get it perfect
Does anyone know if it would be possible to create a texture pack that works with the 3D anaglyph mode? In a way that would prevent the color distortion that comes with the red/blue saturation?
Hi all. I just wanted to point out that the official Doku's RPG texture pack is NOT beta-compatible. However, my updated releases of that pack ARE beta-compatible.
Texture Pack Name: RPG Texture Set (Post-Beta) 16x16 / 32x32 Author Name: doku, vamediah (original authors.) Updates and 16x16 pack by SineDeviance. Beta(HD? What size?) or Creative?: Beta / 16x16 & 32x32 Thread Link:viewtopic.php?f=25&t=70556 Screenshots:
These screenshots are of my 16x16 release. The 32x32 release textures are the same as Doku's original v1.2 release, but updated to be compatible with Beta.
Sorry but I am not going to add any sort of compilations, mixes, or edited versions of any original packs. I will however add packs such as Gerudoku as a sub pack for Doku's seeing how Doku's pack is so popular yet outdated. Yours however does not even add new Halloween blocks for the 32x32 version and seeing how it's just a demake of the original, I will not add it to the list. Of course, you can still post it here and discuss it and everything, but it just wont be added to the list.
Ima update all the pictures and scroll through the forum and add a few more packs.

Fair enough, but perhaps it would be prudent to remove Doku's original pack from the 'Beta-Compatible' list, seeing as it isn't beta-compatible?

That is all well and good, but Gerudoku's pack is not a "pure" Doku pack. Some people want a pure pack.
I also want to make it clear that my updated release of the 32x32 pack DOES include Halloween textures; they're just Minecraft originals for now (or did you mean to say they aren't "new" Halloween textures?)
It's your call if you don't want to include them in the list. However, I feel that it's better to have SOMETHING listed for Doku's pack that is beta-compatible, even if it's not my release.

Well, seeing how it's such a popular pack and seeing how it's also outdated and an alternated edit exists, I will add that edit as a subpack to the doku pack so therefor I'm leaving it in the Beta section because it still is Doku's pack, only updated to fit the current theme... or I could just include a link to an updated Terrain image with ALL the other alternate blocks in it?

Well, thank you for doing that! If you decide to put my release in the list, I would prefer it if you just link back to the release thread. That way Doku will get proper credit from those that download the pack. In addition to that, I have made numerous small tweaks to Doku's original 32x32 set that aren't all present in terrain.png, and my 16x16 release is basically a new pack in itself.

Not sure if this is why you didn't add it, but TRON Grid is far from just an "edit" or "mix" of another pack. It shares a name with the original Cel-Pak more because it's part of the same series of packs I'm creating, not for being an "edit" or "mix" of it. While I DID originally use the Cel-Pak's files to create TRON Grid, it evolved way beyond that and is a COMPLETELY different pack in almost every sense.

I would like to request getting instruction for re-texturing minecraft for a windows XP.
I been looking online for over 30 minutes trying to find a answer and still I've come up with 0 answers and I'm getting very annoyed.
The one posted by the topic creator gives a picture for a MAC computer and I end up with file names which are non existent on a windows like fore example minecraft.jar.
I tried installing AaGeOn's Bump Mapping HD Texture Pack and it comes with a patcher which at 1st I tough cool it would be automatic but alas it did not work.
At 1st I tough to myself no big deal I applied new textures in different games in the past mostly unreal tournament games from 1 to 3 so I figures how hard can it be?
Apparently its harder then it needs to be.
Also with AaGeOn's Bump Mapping HD Texture Pack comes instruction for a manual patch again I figured no big deal following a list like the good old UT patching days I can handle that.
here is what i got
1. Run the patcher -( So that's what the patcher was for )-
2. Click "Minecraft Folder and Extract the bumpmaft.jar and MrMpatcher.jar from the .rar in the bin folder
3. Close the patcher
4. In the minecraft folder, delete minecraft.original.jar and the file called "version" -( Both minecraft.original.jar and version doesn't exsist and the only file that is remotely close to that is minecraft-1.1_02.jar but if I remove that the patcher won't work )-
Everything else beyond that point is awaste of time but for humor's sake here it is anyways.
5. Run Minecraft with the launcher and log in to make sure the latest version is downloaded
6. Close Minecraft
7. Run the patcher and click browse nest to the texturepack option: select bunmpmaft.jar
8. check custom water and lava
9. Click Patch.
10.open up MrMpatcher.jar (double click it)
11.In output: Select minecraft.jar
12. press yes
13. select better light and grass
14. Patch
15. Play minecraft
P.S: I did go into my windows folder option and made sure that all hidden files and folder where displayed.
