I put Doomcraft and Apocacraft into my directories for Minecraft, and yet Doomcraft doesn't show up and Apocacraft when selected doesn't even work. kinda annoying considering it took a few shakes to get the packs into the right folder x,x

First of all Apocacraft is in the OLD section of Alpha textures, meaning it does not work with the newest version. 2nd, the texture pack has to be in ZIP format, so if you download it as a folder make sure compress it to a .zip file.
I was wondering, are there any skins you would recommend over the default textures? And by skins I mean edits of the textures that look better and etc.
Will installing a new texture pack screw up worlds started before I install a new pack?
No.
If you want to use Minecraft's built in texture chooser just select any pack from Lilyo's list that is under the Alpha list on the first page of the thread. Just pop your chosen pack into the texture folder Minecaft opens for you and off you go.
If you want higher rez packs{32x32, 64x64, etc} you have to use Xau's patcher linked to in the first post under "Things to note"
Would it be possible to move Doku's pack to the old section and put a link to The GeruDoku remix instead since it is currently being updated and is 90% the same pack?
I loved Doku's pack but since he's been away on sabbatical a lot of changes have occurred {Halloween, Texture Selector, Zip becoming the preferred pack}.
A lot of folks in the Doku thread keep posting about updates and problems and I'd wager most of the traffic there comes from this list.

Sorry, but no. Gerudoku is a remix, and I am not going to add any remix to this thread. He has not gotten permission from Doku to continue or make any changes to his pack.
