Just applied this pack to my game because I needed something clean and simple to go with the newly aquired ambient thingy that makes things look so good. I just grabbed the whole pack and threw it in my minecraft.jar but water and lava still look like in the original game. Why is that and most importantly, how do I fix it?
If you used the zip pack you have the default 16x16 texture that Minecraft supports. If you want skinned water/lava you have to use 32x32 textures and patch your game.
In another thread some guys figured out just what part of the trianlge pic that is the overlay for grass and leaves corresponds to which biome.
Here is a relevant picture and explanation so that you can customize the color for each biome:

I reversed the code and generated an image that should show exactly how the biomes map to the two colors.png files.

It would be spam if it was a totaly irelevant post that had nothing ot do what-so-ever with the topics it was posted in. Besides, the total amount of texture pack topics in the 5 pages I looked through probably only totaled 2 whole pages in the mapping & moding section.
I know it's a lot, but I just wanted to get the info out there as fast as possible. As I have said somewhere else on this, I hope I never find another reason to do something like that again.

50 topics per page. That's 100 topics.
And no, spam is any repeated unsolicited message.

how do you get the 32x32 to work? like is there another file i should look for or something?
You have to download the 32x texture file, rename it to terrain.png then open up the zip file and put it inside (replacing the default 16x16 terrain.png file). You also need install the high res textures mod to get rid of graphical bugs in-game. Link to the mod is included in OP.
CHANGELOG 1/14/11
- Cake update - dropped 32x textures. Sorry to those who used them.
- the birch tree did not look good no matter what I did so I tried an alternative for making it work. 1/14/11 update 2
- revised the birch wood again.
thanks for the help anywho!

Posting it in five pages of texture pack topics is still too much. And it's spam.

This texture pack was the one which persuaded me to start using a texture pack in the first place :happy.gif:
