He could just update his, thats what I do. Since I have my own web server its easy to just upload an updated version, on top of that Planet Minecraft makes it fairly easy to update your packs. Alot of other hosting sites (Like 4Shared) Allow you to just upload an updated version of your files.
You certainly picked a very fitting name for you texture pack. From what I can see in the preview pictures you have done a wonderful job with the color scheme and art style in creating graphics that give the impression of a warm, comfortable environment. Giving the textures a smoother appearance while still maintaining a slight pixelated look to it really does it for me. This is something I look for when I look for quality in textures and skins for Minecraft. It's easy for someone to just use flat colors without any hint of gradient, shading or 'texture', but it takes a bit more skill to include such details. Getting those added details right (making them work aesthetically for a given style as you have done here) takes more skill still.
Your design here shows careful attention being paid to this element of the design. I personally love how you smooth these latter details to create an image that is easy on the eyes but still visually interesting. The way you did the glowstone blocks also looks very nice (significantly less of an eyesore than the default texture for glowstone). Your design for the glass blocks also looks very nice. The wooden frame is simple but at the same time complex enough to fit together well with the other blocks (making the glass itself easy to see through is also a nice touch).
If I had to pick an area to give more critical constructive criticism on it would be the upper portion of the snow block sides. From what I see in the preview pictures this block seems a little too similar to the grass block. Having the snow hang over the sides of the block at the top is nice, but could be improved in this case. Perhaps the snow on the sides of the block could be altered to be less jagged?
