About the pack:

I searched the forums for a Nightmare before Christmas with no avail. So my wife and I decided to work together on our first texture pack: Nightmare Before Minecraft with that eerie Tim Burton feel. About a day afterward I saw a request for one.

Note: Requires the latest version of MCPatcher found here.

This pack is compatible with Wild Grass and Baby Animals, though the images aren't complete just yet.

Wild Grass: Just don't copy over the terrain.png from the mod.

Use MCPatcher on your minecraft.jar then put the .zip file into the texturepack folder within your .minecraft folder.

Looks really nice so far. I only have one complaint though. Glass. I think it would look better if the edges weren't perfectly square which makes it stand out too much.

I already thought about tilting them or something but it looked weird up against another block.

The creeper is going to be oogie, the skeleton is already barrel, the ghasts are going to be that creepy flying gift thingy, and zombies are going to be that cyclops jelly brain thing. The reason the monsters aren't done yet is we'd like to make the shapes of them different and we don't know how to mod and don't know java.

heh just put a creeper in a sack and (if possible) make it when it explodes it leaves bugs

Looks amazing, just a shame i cant run anything bigger then 32 without tons of lag......you wouldnt perhaps be doing a 32 bit one soon would you?

I might be interested in making it 32 bit compatible if I get enough support. To be honest after one of the mods I installed, not sure which, my computer starts to lag a bit on a 64x pack too. Another small update coming tomorrow before I go to work.

What an eerie texture pack. Like most generation X'ers, i grew up with Tim and his works. Fan since way back. This texture pack sure does have the "This is Halloween~.." feel. This is the second 'nightmare' pack i have seen (the other is 16px). Nicely done.

There has been a small update to some of the textures. The zombie and zombie pigmen have been done. I have a new plan for the nether now to. Instead of it being christmasland, its going to be oogie boogies lair. Some other things have been done too: I did lapiz lazul block, cactus, and updated glass, the bucket icons, and the book icon, and my wife did the zombie, zombie pigman, dyes, wheat icon, brick icon, and clay icon. Also a megaupload mirror has been added, if you want it on another site just let me know, there arent many upload sites ive tried so I'm going with the ones I have before.

Pack looks amazing. Please add 16x or 32x? 64x textures crash minecraft for me. #netbookfail

Another update to make up for the update that only had the terrain.png this morning, sorry about that, I was just waking up. In this update: rails, nether now looks like oogie's lair, breaking texture, more items, creepers, and some other things.

Armor is a bit awkward, but it's a nice pack!

Great texture pack but I have one request. Please make the lightstone something more.. Usuable. Right now I have random skull faces on my walls and ceilings for lights and it doesn't look that good. You can keep it as skulls but making it BRIGHT RED just makes it a little out of place.

The glowstone is designed after the dice that light up oogie boogies lair.

WOW! This is AMAZING! But my computer isn't too great with 64x, can you make a version of 32x?

Very nice. Can you make a slightly lighter version? You know, for people like me who are afraid of the dark. :biggrin.gif:
