Why do people make packs for their servers and post them. If it's 80%+ someone's pack and not yours, and you only recommend it to your players, why post it here instead of messaging them or putting "Use John Smith's" in the MOTD?
If this isn't an entirely new pack, and it's 'meant for your server', what's the point...

I'm glad he posted this, otherwise I would have never seen it, and it's awesome BTW. The best texture pack I've used so far IMO, I had been using qPack for the longest but wanted something different now. This is definitely what I was looking for!

I've noticed the lack of armor textures on John Smith's Pack, basically my goal is to make my own HD armor textures. and to be able to have a pack that can set a different and yet vanilla feel into the game
Not everyone knows how to customize a pack. Most people does not have the information on how to play around with the files or textures and compile it together.
The best texture pack I've used so far IMO, I had been using qPack for the longest but wanted something different now. This is definitely what I was looking for!

Also, do you have any idea where you got the armor textures from? Because it's rude, and technically against the forum rules, to use others' work without permission.
But you didn't make the armors. You just took them from some other pack and slapped them in a folder. Don't redistribute someone's work without their prior permission. It's common courtesy.

you dont have permission. nothing changes that.
the owners dont have to come and point it out, as you already say so yourself.

i would suggest you to remove the downloadlink now, because the thread is already reported.

This EXACT excuse was here before, and threads got locked because of it.
That's MY chainmail armor! And no... I don't want you using it! That's my work, and I would appreciate if you did not use my work in this "texture pack" (which is actually a remix... I no longer do remixes... and hate them). Read the forum rules, that get rid of chainmail_1 and chainmail_2.png from your texture pack's armor folder. I don't care if you didn't know who you got them from. The only places they are available from are the GERUDOKU official packs as well as some others.
Take it out.
