MCP Resource Downloader

An alternative to downloading resource files (jars, sounds, music) for older versions of Minecraft for MCP (Minecraft-Coder-Pack).
Downloads directly from Mojang's servers. No middleman, no sketchy website.

Download file "GUI-<version number>.zip" (example: GUI-1.2-Necro.zip) at the top of the page of the Releases section. If the file does not show, click the "Assets" drop-bar. If you prefer using the command line version or do not want to be restricted by the GUI (which limits certain options), download the "CMD-<version number>.zip" file instead.

Note: This tool is in development, so usage may change in the future.

Tested and supported Minecraft versions:

• 1.8
• 1.7.10
• 1.6.4 (Vanilla)
• 1.4.7 (Vanilla & Forge)
• 1.3.2 (Vanilla & Forge)
• 1.2.5 (Vanilla & Forge)
• 1.2.3 (Vanilla & Forge)

Other versions are untested, but should still work. If not, make a new GitHub issue for a relatively immediate response.

Adds more compatibility with older versions, and specifically with older Forge versions.

I will be releasing a new version in the upcoming weeks once I've refined the process and code, and test multiple versions for any regressions.

It will include bug fixes and support the (non-Gradle) versions of Forge for 1.6.4 (965 and 1345, maybe lower versions as well).
