provides a quick and easy port forwarding solution which automatically makes your local servers accessible to the rest of the world without requiring technical knowledge or access to the router configuration and works out of the box with most customer router models.
Key Features
Simple User Interface
Presets for your favorite games
Instant access from the outside of your network
System Requirements
Windows, Mac OS or Linux
Java 9 or newer
A UPnP compatible router (the program will simply not work if UPnP is unavailable or disabled; see below)
How To Use
The interface is mostly self-explanatory:
Start the Program by double-clicking the executable (Linux and Mac Users will have to make sure they have the appropriate Java version associated)
Choose a Game (such as Minecraft)
Click Start
Leave the program running in the background (DO NOT CLOSE THE APPLICATION UNLESS YOU WISH TO DISABLE ACCESS TO YOUR SERVER)
Troubleshooting
I started the program - What address do I give my friends?
You will need to hand out your public address (your public address does not start with 10, 127, 192.168, 172.16 or fd00::).
The application will display your public address on the bottom left. If this is not the case (which may occur with some cheaper or exotic routers/modems), you may also use one of the following services:
Some cheaper (or older) router models will not permit you to access your external address from inside of the network. Ask one of your friends to test it or use a third-party service such as CanYouSeeMe (the port numbers can be found in the application interface).
I still can't access my server
Chances are that your router does not properly implement UPnP or that your network configuration is too complex for automatic detection. In this case, you should resort to manual configuration.
My friends can't access my server anymore. It worked fine yesterday!
Some countries (especially European countries) typically disconnect you from the Internet every 24 hours to assign a new IP address. In these cases, you will have to hand out the new address every 24 hours (or use a dynamic DNS service such as No-IP to create a permanent domain name).
People are experiencing lag on my server (the server itself is fine)!
Residential networks tend to be rather limited in their bandwidth capacities (especially when it comes to upload bandwidth). Chances are that you are overloading your connection. In these cases, it is highly recommended to rent a cheap server as they offer much better performance for these kinds of applications.
Windows is warning me that not many people run this program? Is it a virus?!
No. This is simply Windows SmartScreen trying to protect you from harmful programs. As the message clearly states, this program is still relatively new and not many people are running it on their computers. Simply choose the "Run Anyways" option (if the option is not displayed, you may have to click on the "More Information" link first).
