With the lack of Minecraft java mods, Or lack of minecraft java mods that works with the lastest version.
I developed a PHP script to backup my Minecraft Worlds.
It works with any minecraft version.
But require that you have php installed in your machine.
I tested with PHP 5.6.24 on Windows 10, But it should work in any Operational System.
This script will check what kind of programs you have, and php extensions and will compress your World folder into 7z, rar, tar.gz or zip, depending on what it finds.
When you run this script,
It will backup all the minecraft worlds folders into 7z, tar.gz or zip, then
It will run every X minutes if it detects that minecraft is running, If your minecraft is not running it will wait until it is.
On line 21: you can set the timer, By replacing the 5 into any other amount of minutes.
Example: Change from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, From define('BACKUP_WORLDS_EVERY_X_MINUTES', 5); to define('BACKUP_WORLDS_EVERY_X_MINUTES', 30);
On line 19: You can disable the timer, The timer loops the code to backup again every X minutes,
By replacing the true to false.
Example: Change from true to false, From define('TIMER', true); to define('TIMER', false);
