A Java Backup Application made to save and keep track of all your Minecraft worlds! It can save any Minecraft world, keep track of the time and date of the save and more!
* untested on previous versions, most likely will not work because of a library used
Instructions
Install:
- Open with Java (Most likely just double click)
- Follow the instructions to setup your .minecraft folder. If you are using the default path, just click Cancel in the menu. (A config file will be created in the same path)
To create a backup:
- Select the world you want to save (right side)
- Click "< Save World As Backup <"
- It will appear on the left (Backup) side
To import a backup: (This will override your current Minecraft world with the same name)
Yeah, I agree that you could do it manually, but some people like not having to go to the minecraft directory every time they want to backup, or having to Copy, rename the folder to the current date... With this it all does it in one button. If some people find it useful, then I'm happy.

It's okay, I'm just saying. It would be cool if he'd add some type of auto-backup and backup uploading feature. That would be really nice and would add a lot to this program.
I made that a long time ago, but found it inconsistent and somewhat annoying because you have to log out of your world every time you need to save... Backup uploading would also require some API stuff, which I don't really want to get into, this is very basic.

You don't need to leave your world just to save it, it automatically saves when you pause the game if you didn't knew. And that API stuff isn't very hard to do.
Didn't know that, that's interesting. And yeah API, wouldn't be hard, but it would require more time than is needed. I'm just going to stop arguing because this isn't going anywhere. If you do not like, nor want to use this app, then why waste your time arguing about it's usefulness? Leave people that find it useful, alone and just move on

How about just being cool with the fact that some people like this and stopping from shooing them away?
How to I change the folder it is looking in. I accidentally messed up for the file destination
You just have to delete the config file found in the same directory
