Ok, so first reply. So I downloaded this server manager with skeptacism, thinking it was just another knock-off of the next guys server manager. I realized after downloading it and installing it that it was'nt. Off the bat I want to tell you that I'm not a coder or a programer, im an average kid hoping to get his server to the top hundred, so bear with me here, as I have no experience with this stuff, and I dont know the limits of whats this stuff can do. Also, Here I'm not trying to be mean, take all of this as constructive critisism. So I noticed that at the top were some buttons, file edit server, etc. I want to point out in case you havent noticed that ( IDK if its my server, map, computer) some of them do not work. For instance, the broadcast under server, I clicked it, it did nothing. Dont know if thats supposed to be implemented or a bug... Now, one feature that would be cool, is the ability to put into the console when you want the server running. For example 5:00 to 7:30 or something, just so that you dont murder your computer by leavng it on all night. That in my experience is the most important thing. So, when I was trying to take my old server map and put it into this one, it went to program files for some reason? Bug?? I ended up just generating a new world. I think the kick-all and ban-ll, and op-all is a great feature to have. For the kick all and ban al, i didnt really check but is it possible for you to make it say a reason for every person? like... kick-all [Reason]? The backup server feature is really nice, very good for crownded servers. Can you also put in a auto saving feature? so that you can set it to autosave, every Hour or so? Anyway, thats my rant. Most of it wont make sense because I have no experience in this feild, sry! This might be a lot to ask, it might not though. I created this account just so I can follow the progress with this program. I will begin using this for my server immediatly, because it has a lot of potential. The gui is very nice and easy to use, just some of the features on the buttons that need tweaking. Very good program, and Ill be veiwing this often, because I really do love this program, even if it is new, I am anxiosly waiting for all the updates! Thank you for taking the time to read this!

((The Notification System is something I have been looking for in a manager. I would have the server in the background, and never know when someone joined! This helps a lot! ))
Ok , I'm back again. Just something small this time. How do we find out where the server information is at? The gui is great and all, I think its cool and easy to navigate around, but stuff like the world file, just to be able to change it manually instead of the import. Maybe when you select to import it it shows the folder that the saves are in? Just a thought, great job!

I do not really know what you mean by "server infomation" but if you want to know where the server is kept, it's in:
32 bit - C:\Program Files\Obsidian\Server
64 bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Obsidian\Server
Looks good, will try. The only thing is that it misses the allow-command-blocks true/false option. Good luck!
Remember, this is still in development. It doesn't have fancy features yet, because Nacorpio is creating an entirely new "base" for it. Once it has been optimisted, we can start work on features like these. We also don't want to clutter up the screen with fancy buttons changing one thing to another, it needs to be organized and simple for the minimalist server admin.

This looks great! Any chance of being able to get the source Im interested in having a look at the code used and possible making my own version. And you would get your credit too

You can find the link to the github source here (in vb.net) although it's version 1.3, as I am working on 1.4, as it's a huge update
Please tell me that your next update has an option to not forcibly update the server... I love the look and feel of this, though the menus that do nothing seem like they should have been left out for now. However I am unable to use this on my server as I run a forge server based on vanilla. Every time I launch this program, it overwrites my minecraft_server.jar with a vanilla one, making it totally unable to run my mods.
I know my comments seem a little critical, and I apologize, but I really want to use a tool like this, and the fact that it automatically erases my modified minecraft_server.jar is a little frustrating
Could you move the server to somewhere relative to the actual .exe? I'd much rather not have a minecraft server in my program files... I think this might keep windows from asking me to give permission to it to change files. (Yes, I know I can disable this, but I like to know when programs are doing things when they shouldn't be. :P.)
Also, I hope "Multiple Servers" means world switching, which is probably more useful to most people than actually having multiple minecraft servers.

Well, the update was going to have a dialog saying if you want to update...

Well, okay, I can move the server in a folder called "Obsidian Server" right next to the .exe, and I can use the rest of the files in the temporary files folder.
Also, what do you mean by "world switching"?

If the world is going to end in 2012, then why is there a Farm Simulator 2013? Mayans: 0 Farm Simulator: 1

Cool, thanks!
By "world switching," I meant setting the level-name setting in the server.properties. ("world switching" was much more ambiguous than it seemed at the time..) I don't think it's in the edit properties window right now (ie it's not there, or I'm bad at using eyes, which I suppose has happened before).
Narcorpio is no longer with us. As in developing the program. Expect some major speed ups, or major delays. It could go either way. Depending on which obsidian source version I have.

[2.0B] is finally out!!!!!! It's finally here! The moment you have been waiting for 1 month of your life! The beta is released!
Yes, I know it hasn't changed much. Yes, I know that its different to what [1.4] was supposed to be. But it has completly new code, so no matter! Once I think the code is stable, the visuals will be updated! Oh, and the Mac and Linux betas will be out soon!

Hey everyone, I'm back!
Now this is feedback we want. We will take most of this in consideration.
Also, the world import feature leading into somewhere else was my fault, I'll try and fix it next version.
This creates a server...

Oh it does that as well
Anyway the only time I really use a server is for LAN and sometime as a Private (for my friend and me)
