MCreator for Minecraft 1.11.2 is finally there. We call it MCreator 1.7.5 (yes, we skipped two versions, more about this in full article). It supports importing old workspaces so you can quickly update your mods, the user interface has been improved, field validation system has been introduced and many other changes have been made.
The first thing I would like to discuss is why this version is called 1.7.5 and not 1.7.3. We have decided to leave two version numbers for another Minecraft 1.7.10 and another Minecraft 1.10.2 update. These two updates will retrofit some of the changes of this update so we keep the most popular versions of MCreators up-to-date. We will also be doing some major changes to the website in the future and we will make sure that everything will stay compatible by releasing these updates.
The next thing I would like to point out is improved workspace importing system which now does some corrections to make events and everything compatible with 1.11.2 so you will be able to import all your workspaces in this MCreator without any problems. Code locking system has been added. Now user can lock the mod file and if he does so, MCreator won't touch its code so one can edit the code of the mod and this code will stay intact even when switching workspaces.
Mod element called CustomRecipe with locked code
We have also done multiple UI changes. Many wizards have improved interface. New field validation system has been added. This system checks all the fields in the form of mod creation wizard to make sure all values are correct. If this is not the case, it will mark incorrect fields so you can quickly identify the problem or incorrect value and fix it faster.
Example of field validation system in dimension creation wizzard
Another important change is offline mode for Gradle. If you have installed MCreator in area with internet connection, but then move somewhere where there is no internet connection (school, vacation, ...), you can tick an option in preferences to enable Gradle offline mode. With this mode on, you can compile and test your mods even if you don't have the internet connection.
We have fixed the code editor so now it works on computers with OSX or Linux. Block generation doesn't crash servers anymore, multitool type of tool now works. Recipe return amount was not saved in previous versions and now this bug is fixed.
You can see the full changelog of MCreator 1.7.5 below:
Updated Minecraft Forge MDK to recommended version 2228 for Minecraft 1.11.2
Updated recipe, overlay, fluid, food, achievement, biome, command, structure gen (schematic), armor, creative tab, plant, tool, item, block, GUI, fuel, mob, gun and dimension creation to Minecraft 1.11.2
Added support for importing old workspaces in this version of MCreator with automatic event and code conversion
Code can now be locked for MCreator, so it doesn't edit it when the lock is applied (useful for mod elements that have been modified from code editor)
Improved external software management, MCSkin3D is now downloaded on the request
Improved mod export process (mod name can now contain spaces)
Improved Pylo sync screen, now it is not glitched on Unix systems
Improved input field validaiton system
MCreator relaunch when logging in or setting up is no more required
Added option for offline gradle mode - if you setup MCreator with internet connection, you can later enable gradle offline mode in preferences and you can build mods without internet connection
Many minor user interface improvements to ease mod creation
Improved integrated image editor
Improved some UI components
[Bugfix] Code editor does not work on Mac and Linux computers
[Bugfix] In some cases, MCreator reports that setup failed even though it has been properly installed
[Bugfix] Multitool tool type didn't work
[Bugfix] Block generation crashed Minecraft server
[Bugfix] Recipe return amount was not saved
Please share this article with your friends so no one will miss this update of MCreator. Also, make sure to leave a comment bellow to tell us what is your favorite change, improvement or bugfix we made in MCreator 1.7.5. Stay tuned for the announced upcoming changes!
First of all. I'm not even going to bother making a full post about this because i don't know if my post will get deleted or anyone from the devs is going to read it. For now, I am just going to point out the worst things about this program and how broken it is.
Textures don't work - Every time I try to make a texture for an item/block it always shows up without one in minecraft. No solutions/fixes for over a year now.
Events are broken - sounds don't always work. some particles freak out and fly wherever they want and you can't do anything about that.
Workplaces keep breaking for no reason and I keep losing my mods - major issue.
Very awful user experience - Instead of simple sliders and/or drawers, you have to put in numbers into boxes to apply your desired feature to the thing you're trying to make. Very little options to choose from. Many missing features that could be added to blocks/items/mobs. Also, I can understand how to work with this program since I've been painfully using it for a long time now, but for some people this can be quite overwhelming and the COMPLETE LACK OF INFORMATION on the MCreator page makes it that much worse.
What I just mentioned are just the worst things with MCreator, there are many more problems but I'm not going to bother putting everything out right now, just in case the devs are completely ignorant of how horrible their program is, or this reply gets ignored/deleted.

i use mcreator all the time i don't have these errors
did you check to make shure your using latest version.
pylo can you add a update for entity models in 1.7.10 and 1.9.4
gaurdians and the other mobs i can't use techne anymore it was deleted by the guy who made it
I was going to use MCreator to make mods but my computer has only 6 GB of RAM and roughly 1.6 GB is used to run Windows 10. If 4 GB is needed for the 64-bit version, and all that memory were used at some point, that would mean about 5.6 GB (more than 92%) of my memory would be used. I am confused.
We are releasing two new full updates and one patch update. These updates will fix some bugs that were present, including the sound bug for 1.7.10 branch of MCreators. One of the reasons for these updates is also the upcoming big website update. More in the article!
MCreator 1.7.5 patch update
The first important update is the so-called 20. 8. 2017 patch update of MCreator 1.7.5. MCreator 1.7.5 had some problematic bugs that had to be fixed. The recommended version of Minecraft Forge has also changed, so we have decided to release patch update of MCreator 1.7.5. As this update was not big enough to be worth to force all users to update, we have decided to make it a patch update, so all the users that want to have these bugs fixed, they need to redownload and reinstall MCreator 1.7.5.
This patch update fixed the armor textures bug, some events not working properly, it also tries to fix rendering glitches on some Nvidia graphic cards and includes some other minor fixes.
MCreator 1.7.4
With MCreator 1.7.4 update, we have upgraded Minecraft Forge to the recommended version 2185 for Minecraft 1.10.2 so all your mods will be 100% compatible with the right Forge version. This update also includes the render bug fix. Users have to update their old MCreator for Minecraft 1.10.2 as this update includes some mandatory fixes and improvements that will make sure that MCreator will also work with our new website when it will be released.
MCreator 1.7.3
The most important fix in this update is the sound system. Finally it works as it should in both test environment and in exported mods. The update also includes rendering bug fix. This version is also a must for updating if you make mods for Minecraft 1.7.10, as this update makes sure that MCreator will still work when we release our new website.
Upcoming website update
Last but not least, I will speak some words about the rumored website update, also known as "Big website update". We are working on this update in the few past months. The update will add some important changes, that will make the experiance of the use of the MCreator's website as good as never before. Many really good changes will be made, so stay tuned as we will disclose some of the changes that are planned in the upcoming articles.
Changes in MCreator 20. 8. 2017 patch of 1.7.5:
Updated supported Minecraft Forge MDK to recommended version 2386 for Minecraft 1.11.2
[Bugfix] Armor textures for inventory not working
[Bugfix] "When right clicked on block" event in item creation not working
[Bugfix] Disabled hardware acceleration of 2D UI components to increase performance and to fix some render glitches on Nvidia graphic cards
All changes in MCreator 1.7.4 update:
Updated supported Minecraft Forge MDK to recommended version 2185 for Minecraft 1.10.2
[Bugfix] Disabled hardware acceleration of 2D UI components to increase performance and to fix some render glitches on Nvidia graphic cards
All changes in MCreator 1.7.3 update:
[Bugfix] Fixed bug with custom sounds not working - now custom OGG sounds work in both test environment and in exported mods
[Bugfix] Disabled hardware acceleration of 2D UI components to increase performance and to fix some render glitches on Nvidia graphic cards
Don't forget to leave your feedback on these updates in the comments, and stay tuned for more information on the MCreator for Minecraft 1.12.1 update and on the big website update - we will leak some info in the near future

You know it would be nice if MCreator rules were changed. And that this mod maker really became something "special". I just can't use it because of issues it has. At least you fixed that terrible bug.
This program needs a successor because it wont even export mods. Might as well be a program that is meant to tease you. Make some decent mods but you cant even use it. I wasted so much time working on my mod but when I try to export it the damn thing closes on me! No error log. Nothing. WTF?!?!?!?
We have been leaking hints on this website and social media for a while, then a construction page came and finally, here we are. A new website for MCreator including a new domain. In this article, we will post a full changelog of the update and clear up most questions regarding this website.
New domain - mcreator.net
We have been discussing the problem of the domain for MCreator on Pylo for quite a while. The final decision was to move MCreator to the new domain. You can read more about this in official blog post on Pylo website .

That new version wouldn't even install. It just gives a error that there is no internet while there clearly is working internet.
EDIT: Dang, how could I be so stupid. I didn't install forge to my default Minectaft first.

I'm also quite nerdy with an interest in game developing and the concept of a fourth spatial dimension.
All hail chickens.
Mac is almost just as bad in ram usage, linux is best for that.
