What program can I use to make the textures for my mod? because i used gimp and my mod works and all but the outcome products are like pictures with a white square and all.... if you need a picture ill show you.

You have to use transparency but I don't know how to do that on the Gimp. Paint.NET is also a good program. Or just use the texture maker on the program.
Once I begin extracting it says a few files are corupted. Two right when I start. Never mind, it worked.
Once I finish Generating my mod a note comes up and says:
Note: mod_meowmeowmod.java uses unchecked or unsafe operations.
Finished
I ignore that, install Modloader and delete META-INF and I get a error, I believe if the note thing is fixed, it'd get rid of the error, that or Modloader hates me.
Ok, the direct link was going to an old version. I also switched back to sendspace, but every time I try to use MediaFire it fails.
Hmmm, well the non-direct link just sent me to 4shared again, and the direct link takes me to v0.08 as opposed to the v0.08_2 that the adfly link goes to. It sucks that mediafire doesn't work for you, they are usually great. When I cilicked the 4shared download button this time it didn't crash my browser, but it opened a link to a 404 page. I would really like to test out the new version now that mobs are back, but I am starting to think I might be better off just learning Java.

I got my mod working, but my block takes as long as obsidian to mine. Can i get some kind of frame of reference for the hardness please? The wiki doesn't say anything about it.

Obsidian is 15, cobble is about 3. 0 for instant-mining.
I'm having trouble finding a mob I made. Is it the higher the number is set in the spawn probability or lower the number is set in the spawn probability tab the more common it is? And I also assume I put the linkseyi folder in the mob textures folder too?

Just copy all the contents of minecraftdotjar (including linkseyi) into the actual minecraft.jar.
I don't know if you saw it or not, but I am having trouble with creating a tool:
