As a thought, after watching the tutorial, it'd be nice to have items (pickaxes, shovels, axes, swords, armor) do (optionally, default off) custom behavior/damage.
Also, new question: can you make custom sign types; that is items that can be written on like a sign - say a tombstone or golden plaque for example?

I told linkseyi about that tools custom properties suggestion as well and he told me he would work on it. Hopefully it will come out soon. In answer to your other question no you can't make custom sign types but I really like that idea. Maybe we could add it, I'm not sure.
@Spy227X Make sure all parts of your mod include only letters, and that you have no duplicate block/item names. If that doesn't work send the project file to me.

I have a few suggestions for you. I think you should add the ability to make armours (compatible with TMI infinit durability feature?), fire-like block options (fire texture display, can be walked through, disappear after X time, never dissapear on X block, damage player/mobs when inside/touching, resistance (for custom mobs, maybe defualt mobs)), falling blocks, moving blocks, redstone contraptions, flying mobs, precreated models to use for mobs (to give more variety to custom mobs), animated textures(everything), and particles for custom mobs and blocks.
I have the same problem starting the mod maker as well the only thing I did notice is if I press the enter key on the file like 20 times back to back it finally opens once I thought it would have been compatibility problems but no it seems to not be triggering java 95% of the time

You've got a lot of ideas that are good. Modmaker is still in development and is being worked on for the most part every day. Some of the suggestions you mentioned I already have talked to linkseyi about and there's been different answers for different ideas. Many things should be on their way in future versions so we'll see how it turns out. Non-solid block creation in your mods I've been told should be doable. That much I think I can say for sure.

Maybe i can't see the things cause they are so rare, but if this mod I'm making does not let me see the really common

You're saying the mod you created won't install?
As far as I know it needs to be put into the jar and can't be put in the mod folder. I don't know if it works with forge though, sorry.
