Most image formats have limitations because of 32-bit integer values in it's headers. Maximum dimensions of a single BMP image are about 23100 x 23100 pixels. PNG images can be larger, but I don't have a PNG library can encode such large images. Even Photoshop can't save PNG images larger than 30000 x 30000 px.
Unmined will able to render your 30k x 30k world into a single image of 15k x 15k pixels at zoom level 0.5x when zoom become available.
I will definetly keep an eye on this. Seems to be the best bet at the moment. And only took it a half hour to fully load into the program. That is quicker than most.
Would you consider an option to turn off the beveling? It would make it easier in an image editor to select elevation by color without having to deal with the variation in shading the beveling adds

I love the look of this, but is it only for Singe Player? And I take it it's more of a tool for an individual rather than for public viewing?
Unmined can render multiplayer maps located on your machine. Multiplayer maps are the same as single player maps except they have more players.
Public viewing will be available as a Google Maps client like maps generated by Tectonicus.
Thank you for the fantastic program. It's simple, easy, and very well done. Thank you!
Can't wait to see the awesome things that are to come.
The zoom feature looks great too. Can't wait (well, actually I can but still).

it gives me this error message:

The live view in 0.2.126 was just epic. But at least for me, it can't follow the player anymore (version 0.3.150) and the window can't be sized down enough, to be usable - for some reason it can't be smaller than approx. 510 px vertically (horizontal is fine). I don't know if this was intended, but if it was, than you're losing a really superb feature here...
Window sizing problem will be fixed, thanks. And no feature will be left behind

It does.
OS: Windows Vista 64, if that helps at all.
Thanks, it will be fixed in next release, and zoom will be available too.

Yes, there will be a CLI version.
Thank you, most of the old CLI mappers don't work with newer map formats.
