This version of Planetoids for some reason takes me about half an hour to generate and the older version only took 1-5 minutes depending on the options I chose. I think it has something to do with the other options that were removed
Well half an hour is somewhat of an exaggeration. It's like 15-20 minutes but that's still quite a bit of time.
The world Height for minecraft was doubled, so it should take longer. its not the options, it just that minecraft is forcing it to do twice as much work.
So I've downloaded it, and i ran it, but once i had filled in all that stuff I nedded to, it suddelny stopped working, and I had to close it... I don't know if this has anything to do with my computer, or anything else, but does anyone know what to do? Or has this happened to anyone else?

I can't find a diamond planet. Any ideas on how to find one easier or I am just missing them?
You're just missing them, they are definitely there but a bugger to find.
If you are playing with vanilla MC or without any mod that allows you to fly then really I don't think there is an easy way other than exploring them one by one. I would suggest the following to make exploring faster / easier:
Make shears and use them to collect the 'leaves' of trees to use as a building material for bridges between planets
Don't bother making bridges more than 1 wide (hold Shift if you are worried about falling off)
Use water to travel down to lower planets and back up again.
Light up planets you've visited on all four sides (2 if you are short on torches) to save re-visiting the same one
Diamond planets can be big or small so check both (I assumed they'd only be small)
When you do find a diamond planet mark it out well! I found one then lost it again in the web of bridges I had!
...On second thought... Maybe they spawned normally, but their AI made them fall, like this one-cow-rain I told you about?
Anyway, pls someone teach me how to get some neutral mobs in my world. I'm in love with this world generator, but the no-mob thing really frustrates me even more than the no-sugarcane rule does.
Yeah quite often they fall off but I have found a few planets with them still on. If you have water at the bottom of the world then you'll probably find areas of it covered in animals!
Don't forget about stone swords if you haven't found iron yet, there really is no reason to use wooden anything!
please excuse my stupidity, but... what do i run it with? I am using a mac.
Forgiving your stupidity is easy enough, it's not that stupid a question. Forgiving you for clearly not reading any of the other pages in the topic however isn't so easy to forgive. It doesn't run on macs, there is a level in one of my posts on the first page you are free to download and try out though.

Would be a lot more usefull if you could better define the worlds you wanted to be generated. For example. I wanted to create two 200x200 maps (normal and nether). I want the normal world to have just sky below, but the nether world to have lava below. I have to generate the normal world twice, in order to achieve this.
Perhaps add another quest that says, "Generate Normal (1), Nether (2), or Both (3)?"
Excuse me, but what is the largest map that can be generated. I am referring to hypothetically if you had infinite drive space, what would be the limit of the program?
Ok mac users, i have a way for it to work, you will need x11, mono and terminal, when u open terminal make sure that you have planetoids in your user folder and type this
mono planetoidsv2.exe
and this should make it work, if not tell me and ill see what u need

What OS you running?
Mine, mine again and avoid additional creepers.

I downloaded the exe from the dropbox, and every time I go to generate the world it says no longer working.
Reasons?
Back from the End, time to rebuild.
Perhaps add another quest that says, "Generate Normal (1), Nether (2), or Both (3)?"
SOPA? How about NOPA
YES! YES! THIS HAS TO HAPPEN! Make a Tekkit and a Technic version!
Better yet, make custom planets!
Wouldn't that be like the best achievement ever?
mono planetoidsv2.exe
