On my server, this plugin is disabled by default. It's the latest build. Any reason why? I type the command in and it doesn't say "Unknown Command" or anything. It just has an empty output. Is there a way for me to enable it? Thanks in advanced.
i cant do anything after a game unless i reop all my admins (the onlly ones who play atm) and also can u add a way for people with permissions to start the games while being a tribute? thx
EDIT: also my inventory is erased after games.
EDIT2: and items/lava doesnt dissapear
You must store everything in a chest before you volunteer, we have to do it too.
@blackmailid
Look through your "plugins" folder, your logs, and stuff. Check for clues on why it isn't working, maybe see if there is an error report.
@xbg101
I THINK you have to have the items, do /games spectate and press drop when you are at a tribute. They should be able to pick it up, although you may be invisible to them. You can only drop 1 item / item stack a minute (I think)
If you want, I could build you one in singleplayer, and send you a dl link.
You would really do that? if you can yes that would be fantastic me and my friends are not the greatest builders, we will use anything in the map that we can so we will destroy wood and mine stuff just thought you should know. Other than that just build what you think will make a good arena, thanks so much!

Need to make sure that you have setup the 'config.yml' file. Specifically the centerX and centerZ, those points also need to be far enough away from the spawn
I like the plugin. You should still mention that it generates a whole arena for you. I ended up wiping out my whole arena because I thought I did it all manually. Good thing I have backups...
Two things.
1.) Could you make it so that you could control what items have what chances of spawning in the Cornucopia? I have some items I don't want to spawn in there.
2.) Could you make it so that you have the option to have it spawn an arena for you or not? So if I chose to, I could have the arena set up on my own? I have a premade arena/Cornucopia, and I kinda want to use that, too.

Overall, awesome plugin.
I'll probably make it so you can set what items will spawn
There isn't a way to use a pre-made arena unless you place the start location in the correct spot. Gamemakers can make permeant changes to the arena area after it has been created, though.

I figured this out right after I asked. xD Sorry for the waste of question, but I think that it would be a good idea as well to set what types of items should spawn. I also think it would be a REALLY good idea to allow the cornucopia to refresh the random item pool after every 5 minutes or so (allowing configuration in the config of course). Another idea is to allow a set certain items for players when they volunteer or are force tributed (default armor, sword, food, etc.) This suggestion is a bit on the wishful thinking side, but it would be interesting to allow gamemakers to place their own cornocopia drops (preset drops) for special items, like in a hidden area. I have my arena to where there are hidden buildings, alcoves, caves, and refilling the chests gets annoying after awhile. It'd be a really good edition if there is someway to do that.
As for bugs:
I'm having issues with players getting into the same pit as each other. They start killing eachother and it just gets out of hand.
People are landing on the pressure plates when they /games volunteer or at /games prepare. Is there another, less harmful way to deal with the players from leaving the area? If you like that, can you make it interchangable?
The last, and probably the worst, bug is that the players, once they volunteer, lose their original items. I tell them to empty their items first, but you know how that usually goes down. -.-' Is there a fix for that soon? Thanks in advance! I enjoy your plugin very much and hope to use it for a good while!

It tells you how to install in the README, I'll try and get some videos made for the future
I got a video i just made that should help people! ^.^ Maybe it could be in the main page?
I have installed this problem and have a problem. I have entered the center coordinates and whenever I start up bukkit it says cannot load plugins/the hunger games/config.yml org.bukkit.configuration.invalidconfigurationexeption: while scanning for next token
found character '\t' that cannot start any token
in "<string>", line 3, column 15:
centerX: -1577
I recieve this message twice and it tells me that a starting location has not been set. Also what plugin can be used to set spawn inside the arena?
Thank you for helping
To answer the first question somehow the 'config.yml' file got messed up. Make a backup and delete the original file, restart the server and the plugin will create a new one. You'll have to reconfigure the file and restart the server again.

All the bugs in the middle paragraph will be fixed in 1.3. As for players loosing items I may have all the items in there inventory placed in a chest from where they were "tributed" from, it wont stop people from looting the chest or loosing the chest if they are in the middle of nowhere, but it gives them a chance of getting it back. For the time being you'll just need to make sure people pay attention

When starting server, no plugin commands work.
I have edited teh file, changed teh x,z coords, and everything required, but it still wont work.
I cant use anything, the commands dont work, even when i try to use them, nothing even shows up.
Punch a friggin tree.
No set date, but within the week

I may release the source some time after 1.3, be warned I'm self taught and the code is kinda messy

Try Force Updating your Minecraft? IDK what else to do.
@xbg101
Sure, it might take about 1-2 weeks. Sorry about that.
What theme do you want:
Village
City
Jungle
Forest
Snow
Plains
OR
Extreme Hills
I'll build it around that, I personally think City, Village or I can have like a mini world with mini of each biome.
Pick one!

No problem about the time dude, I agree a city/village theme, thanks again!

To move the spawn try this plugin: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/homespawnplus/ or any plugin like it
There isn't a way to remove the glass right now but in 1.3 there will be /games-removearena

Awesome, you saved me a lot of time Added to the main page
In the futre, are you planning on including multiple arenas? Maybe a new one every once in a while?
Looks cool though
And how big is the arena it makes?
The Arena it creates is within the Config.yml file just set it yourself... I wouldn't set it past 400 though
