Kamyu, your tools really need updating with all the new stuff in 1.5.....
Considering 1.5 hasn't been released yet I think this would add to the confusion. For people who are new to the program/minecraft customizing/the whole NBT thing. The extra features from 1.5 would only serve to make the UI more complex (for the time being). If there was an update released now with all of the new NBT tags and options, there would be a slew of people complaining that said option were not working in their 1.4.7 clients.

When I press the "create spawner" button, the list thingy at the left says "Entity: Zombie Weight: 1". Now, I understand what that means,
but wasn't it supposed to, you know... create a spawner? If I press the button again, nothing happens.

Hey, great tools and all but I think I found a bug with the custom spawner. When I create a custom mob it has everything I entered, but upon death the mobs drop everything, completely ignoring the drop rates. Once again, great tools. These are probably the most reliable map making tools out there

Minecraft calls a chest a "Chest".
Minecraft calls a Minecart Chest a "Minecart" with data values determining if it is a regular minecart or not. (or "MinecartChest" after the 1.5 update)
A chest is a tile entity (block with data tags)
A minecart chest is an entity (dynamic object)
Kamyu's tools only searches in the tile entity array for chests.

Is there some sort of tutorial for arrow spawners? I can't get this to work...it might have something to do with me trying to do it in the Nether. Help?

Is there any chance we can have a flag in the populate chests software so that it will Empty a chest then refill it based on the random item file?
I have a dungeon crawl players can enter and it would be nice to be able to randomize the chests every few days, however the software as it is will ignore them if they have anything inside.

Once you create the spawner, a schematic for it appears in the schematics folder. In order to get it into your world, you must import the schematic using MCEdit. (I actually had this same problem when I first used this program.)

If it doesn't create a spawner, there is some error with a value you put in. Unfortunately, you may have to use trial and error to get it to work properly.
Hey guys now I really don't want to be that annoying person who's bugging the dev to "GET DEE ONE POINT FAHV SPAWNARHS OAUT" like an idiot but does anyone know (or have a guess) to when Kamyu will update for 1.5. I'm only asking because I would like to be able to get a rough time frame in mind for when I can get the map out by. Again I hope I don't sound like to much of an idiot Thanks.

Using "Custom Spawner" to create a Witch spawner that emulates a witch hut and lets the witch drop lily pads. Placing the spawner in-game with MCEdit.

Results:
Spawner range works. Unsure of mob cap yet as no one's dropping any lily pads! Reopened schematic and the drop rate keeps getting reset to 0.05%
The right hand side of the window has a little scroll bar, the create spawner button, along with a file name input is down bottom.

Here is my custom items list:
Enter something less than "1", since 1 stands for 100%. 0.30 stands for 30%
Attack strength + weapon damage + enchantment randomability = damage.
Zombie on Easy without a weapon = 3 HP
Stone sword = 5 HP
Sharpness 1 = 1-3 HP
Zombie on Easy + Stone sword with Sharpness 1 = 9-12 HP, or 4 1/2 to 6 hearts.
You can't. Kamyu's tools create an "ench" list tag, but for an enchanted book you need a "StoredEnchantments" list tag.

A few pages back someone posted how to use kamyu's tools with mac. You have to download winebottler and open the .exe files with that.

No. The best you can do is just set the potion effect duration to some big number (I just use 1,000,000).
The max effect is aproximatly 3 1/2 years... Real time.
the integer is 2147483647
so effectively... yes... yes it is.
You'll have to be a lot more specific than that to get an answer
