When i try to update MultiMC the window close and never opens again...
I must quit MultiMC with a TaskManager tool.
I'm using MacOS X version of MultiMC
I have no idea what i can do, pleas help
Updated my MultiMC directly and also tried downloading a new MultiMC and placing it in a new folder and always get:

I tried thew auto update (Windows 7) but it crashes with windows saying the program failed and no other errors. I downloaded the new version from the web site and installed it in a new folder but get the above error. Any help would be appreciated! Oh and thanks for the quick fix on the logon problem... just need to get past this issue now!

I was in a rush to release an update to fix the problem and completely forgot that compiling MultiMCLauncher.class with JDK 7 would break compatibility with Java 6...
The issue has been fixed now, just re-download MultiMC (or use the "force-update MultiMC" option in the settings menu)
The self-update seems to not work. This I'm going to guess is because it needs .NET to work, which us Mac users have to install a 3rd party to make it work.
If you don't update, you can't log in. If you do a self-update, it seems to not work. If you download fresh from the internet it is unable to load up Minecraft. Apparently the latest version is "unsupported" etc. (read the code a few of us have posted)
Well, that sucks, since I just got brilliantly inspired. I guess I'll have to keep this tab open and check for updates.

Either re-download MultiMC, or go into settings and force-update MultiMC.
Tried redownloading and forcing an update and still getting the same error message,

I can't seem to get MultiMC to open, it loads up in the task manager and then disappears from it after a few seconds. Doesn't give me an error message or anything before leaving the task manger.

Am I correct in that the previous version won't be able to log in?

Odd... Are you sure you're using JRE 6 or 7?
jre 6.
sorry, but there was an instance of MultiMC.exe*32 running in my processes that I had to kill before it would work correctly.
It now works.
But I already had it installed the day before, whatever ok I will reinstall it
Alright, good to know that everything's back up and running again...
It works! Thanks.
Since it's way past midnight here, though, I guess I'll have to wait for tomorrow to continue working with the new inspiration.

I dont expect anyone here could help because this is a .NET problem(i think) but i thought it was worth the try

Minutes after posting on this topic about the login issue, there was an update and it fixed it.
Good job Forkk13 and everyone who helped.
Although it does take quite a bit longer to log in.
