Every time I try to open Minecraft via Magic Launcher (I have tried it on both 0.9.4 and 0.9.7) and I always get this error.

Anyone else having this? How can this be fixed? I've googled it already but only Dutch videos are all I've seen.
MagicLauncher won't update Minecraft, specifically from 1.2.3 to 1.2.4. I haven't used MagicLauncher for very long, so this is the only update I've been through with it so far.
Is there something I should do to make it update? I'm on a mac if that matters. Also, the "Force Update" button in the options window is greyed out, if that matters.

That question always seems to still surprise me a bit for some odd reason.
Close out of Magic Launcher.
Backup your Minecraft Saves.
Backup your "minecraft.jar" file.
Run Minecraft directly using the normal default launcher (instead of using Magic Launcher) and load a world so you can update the Minecraft files.
Close out of the world and also out of Minecraft itself too.
Run Magic Launcher again but go into the setup screen to disable/remove all of the mods that are now no longer compatible since they were for the previous version of Minecraft.
While there, see if there is anything listed under the External Mods section. If so, those are also most likely outdated now too. So, you will have to make sure to clean those out of the "mods" folder underneath your ".minecraft" installation folder.
Add any mods to the list that are compatible with the new version of Minecraft.

Same problem here on Vista 64. I guess the only option is yto update with the regular mc launcher.
I read the last couple pages of this topic, and the OP, but I also had some questions. I apologize if they've already been answered.
On the OP, I saw a feature talking about being able to downgrade Minecraft to the previous version, but I haven't seen a button for that. Has that been implemented yet?
And when using two configurations (one for 1.2.4 and one for 1.2.3), how do I change the base folder for the jar that's not being loaded from the standard .minecraft folder? I have one jar in .minecraft and that loads fine, but the other jar is in a folder on my desktop, but I can't change its base folder.
Get 2.7.1 or whatever’s the latest 2.7 version. 2.8.3 has issues with Java 6 (assuming you have it).
Just tried it - my GUI still works from the normal launcher, but magiclauncher still fails. :/
I think one of my main issues might be that I'm on a hackint0sh - not officially spported stuff, usually I have to really make an effort to get things running as they should, but I'm no good when it comes to java... At one point somebody asked about my graphics card, it's a Radeon 6850, so not nvidia... I don't think that's the issue. Never had issues with it before.

You can change that by clicking on the 'options' button on the main magiclauncher screen, and browse to a new base folder.
The only problem with that, it's going to still be the same base folder for everything and you will have to change the base folder every time you switch from one config to another.
It's kind of a pain in the butt right now.
I have the suggestion to have a field to select a different base folder for each config in it's setup screen.
Seperate from the field to select a different minecraft.jar

I seem to be having an issue and have not seen a resolution to it posted. So I am trying to play with a few mods such as Buildcraft, IC^2, Redpower, Forestry, etc. The problem I am having is when I edit the config file for Redpower in the the .Minecraft folder and turn off spawn tin and copper when I generate a world they still spawn. I check the config again and it hasn't changed so I am wondering if Magic Launcher is only reading the config files for the IDs and then letting the default configs be used from the zip files? I really don't want to manually install the mods because I don't want to clutter up my PC with a ton of copies of Minecraft and would like to use the Launcher to just pick setups out and not have to have a ton of modded copies. Thanks
Sitting on a Mac, and CMD+v doesn't work. Nor does a right-click. Only typing is supported. And no, Java 1.7 is not working for me atm. :/
Even though you are on a mac, since you are using a java program try CTRL-V, not APPLE-V.
Yea, blame Sun for assuming that "Everything will behave like windows".
Heck, blame Swing for the whole "AWT failed because every OS is slightly different, so we'll redo the entire window system internals in Java, and make everything almost but not quite like how one developer here uses Windows <some version> even though it can be reconfigured and future OS's might behave differently."

Edit: Figured it out. It was either the compression method the developer used to package MorePistons or the name. I extracted all the files and re-zipped them and it worked fine after.

Read the post directly above yours.
Oh, you mean a note like in the OP in bold text under "Coming Soon"?

Frustrating that this has yet to be fixed. I fell in love with magic launcher and then she left me...

Any suggestions? Do you need the crash log?
