I can't play in 1.6.1 it keeps starting up then getting stuck on majong screen. Please help, I have donated and I love MagicLauncher! Plus. I really want to ride a horsey.
PLEASE HELP
I have been trying to install minecraftforge using magiclauncher and the installer but it doesn't work
I was trying to do that as well but it seems that minecraft forge for me does not work with magic launcher anymore, I tried using the installer than the minecraft.exe and that worked.
Has anyone had any problems with loss of sound in 1.6.1?
We have two machines, one more powerful than the other. The weaker one experienced a sudden total loss of sound after a few times of playing 1.6.1 with no problems while the more powerful one suffers intermittent loss of sound, cured only by restarting MC.
I've discovered that increasing the available RAM in ML solves the total sound loss problem - 9 times out of 10. The 10th time requires an MC restart. I haven't tried this solution on the intermittent sound problem yet.
Obviously we need more powerful PCs but we can't do that yet so in the meantime it's a fragile tightrope with adjusting the RAM figure in ML and hoping for the best.
Hope this helps anyone else out there with similar problems.
hey, thanks for keeping this launcher alive, starting usin it because of Mojang' 1.6.1 launcher GUI sucks. I have a question with teh magic launcher, Is the commandline params works?
like > MagicLauncher.exe -profile=161 USER PASS Cuz I have a systray app does launch my alts accounts (they're paid!) for my own purposes.

MagicLauncher is the best launcher I ever used! Hoping the developer would update for 1.13.x and 1.14.x

Found a fix for the no sound issues that people have been having. Go to old versions of Magic Launcher and download the 1.1.5 version. For some reason the 1.1.6 version of the launcher isn't finding the files needed to play sounds from the assets folder.

Now we have a situation where our good PC has sound for a few seconds then it completely dies. And using version 1.1.5 of ML doesn't help in the slightest.

I can't seem to make the magic launcher to detect forge...
I set it on the 1.6 setup like mentioned on the first page, but no matter what I do Forge isn't detected, only the mods that does not require forge work...
Do I need to use any special files or whatever?
(also tried to forge my minecraft and simply use that forged minecraft as a base for my magic launcher porifl but then minecraft simply didn't start...)
It appears that ModLoader just do not work with Magic Launcher. I can even patch the .jar with Modloader using MCPatcher, but launching that patched .jar with MagicLauncher won't even load Modloader. It just doesn't work for some reason. What am I doing wrong?
I have for example Modloader and TMI loaded. TMI works, but not modloader and no modloader mods..

0.8.2 - added incompatible mods warning, startup logging
0.8.1 - fixed NPE if folder "mods" not existing
0.8.0 - first release
Fixing common problems
1. The order of the mods is important as some of them are designed to "overwrite" parts of other mods.
2. The ModLoader has to be first in the mods list, use the button Up to move it to first position. ModLoader is not needed if Forge 4.0 or newer is installed.
3. Then come (if you need them) ModLoaderMP and Forge.
4. Then come the rest of the mods and last comes OptiFine. Only one OptiFine edition may be active as they overwrite each other.
5. Do not forget to start with a clean minecraft.jar. If it is already modified or patched, then some mods may not work correctly.
6. A mod should appear either in the internal or the external mod list, but not in both at the same time.
7. Mods which have status "No mods found" needs to be repackaged to be used. The mod ZIP file usually have a folder "put_in_minecraft_jar" or similar which contains one or more files like "acx.class". The contents of this folder have to be zipped in a separate ZIP file and added as an internal mod. This solution works with almost all problematic mods.
8. If you get an error "No accelerated mode found" or "Bad OpenGL drivers" you may try running Minecraft with less memory. Go to "Setup -> Advanced", enter 256 in the field Memory and test again. This helps with some integrated graphics cards.

How do I launch 1.5.2 using this? I am not able to find it in the Environments.
To everyone having problems with sound, disable ModLoader.
It's not the mods.
So far we have 1.6.1 version of Modloader, Rei's and TMi on our mods lists.
I tried using ML with no mods enabled and it still did it. I tried enabling mods one at a time, just having each mod enabled by itself with no others - no difference. I couldn't pin it down to one single mod.
It's ML or the amount of RAM Java needs.I'm hoping that in the next version of MC or ML or both this problem is resolved.
I think you need to delete the assets folder and reinstall the .minecraft directory from the new launcher again
Try setting your memory to 300 by going to setup than in to the advanced tab than set memory to 300.
