I have used Magic Launcher for a long time and it has always worked well, but recently it has become so buggy that almost half of all launches fail with a crash that only contains MagicLauncher and LWJGL classes. It appears to be caused by MagicLauncher's log trying to catch a log output written by OpenAL and somehow failing. There is also a crash that includes minecraft code, but I patched the game to catch the raining exceptions (caused my MagicLauncher's log having threading issues), but whenever I switch off that mod multiplayer and even some single player completely fails with a timed out connection. I have also in the past had to patch the game to remove colored chat from the console output, because THAT was also crashing MagicLauncher. The current MagicLauncher is also incompatible with the current DevLauncher's profiles and libraries. I cannot launch any game without setting the environment to classic or MagicLauncher will fail to load the main class. I have always enjoyed using MagicLauncher, and It has made modding SO much easier, but If these issues keep happening I will have to switch to another launcher, or go back to traditional modding.

I keep getting this error:

Missing class member: public B c, class: ajl, mod: minecraftforge-universal-1.5.2-7.8.1.738.zip

but when I look into the zip file I can clearly see the ajl.class file. For some reason the Launcher doesnt seem to be registering it? Its making it so that I cannot climb ladders or vines.

Any idea what is wrong? i've re-downloaded both programs so they are fresh installs but it still doesn't work.

whenever i try to open my minecraft game (wether test or login) it only shows the log and doesnt play

hello magiclauncher people I have had magic launcher for a small period of time and I am trying to use the zeppelin mod (latest version) and I have thus far not been able to I have tried using mod loader to which magiclauncher says in the status bar not compatible and if I do test it says

and when I attempt to use forge It says one error and when I click test proceeds to black screen the mine craft window I have found both of these problems on the forums elsewhere with no soulution.

Whenever I try to install forge with this it says there is 1 error and when i launch it gives me a crash with this report. I am running 1.5.2 with the latest magic launcher and the recommended Forge.

I run Minecraft on windows 8 64 bit, my mods are Magic Launcher to use control pack and Optifine, and my jar is modded with tabby chat and forge. Recently have noticed that Notch, Dinnerbone, and Jeb's twitter pages along with the Mojang news tab are not displaying. I've tried re-installing Magic Launcher, but have not found a solution to this issue. The other tabs like reddit, wiki, and the forum still work normally.

What does the new launcher mean for ML? Will this still be a way we can install mods and run Minecraft or will we soley have to use the new launcher?
I am unfamiliar with the new launcher but as far as I see there is no area to add mods like ML.

With the new 1.6 launcher installing mods will be harder (maybe impossible) as it always downloads a clean minecraft.jar if the current one is modified. It is too early to tell as the launcher is not finished.
Magic Launcher already works for the snapshots and will continue to work with 1.6 and beyond.
