I have had an issue with magiclauncher crashing my connection to servers if some chat characters come in for some time, and it has not been fixed in any of the new ML versions. I got tired of using the vanilla launcher for multiplayer, so I wrote a mod that patches the bug on the client side. If anyone else gets an "Interrupted attempt to acquire right lock" error when playing on servers, I will upload the patch. I hope this bug will be patched in ML soon, but if not then I have yet another mod to maintain just to play minecraft.

Whenever I use this launcher to play Minecraft on, it bring my fps down to 20. I usually run at 70. However, when I use the regular launcher with the same mods, my fps is 70 again. Any help?

I'm having issues trying to load NothEnoughItems mod... it says that it's an internal mod when i put it into the coremods folder, i tried putting it into the regulat mods folder my folder for my mods to laod in ML and keeping it in the same folder but i keep on getting my optifine, minecraft coder pack, forge mod loader, and minecraft forge only with the log*** MagicMinecraftLauncher 1.1.4 ***

you have to mnually force update your minecraft from the vanilla launcher, not magic launcher

EDIT: Nvm working fine now

I am just going to point this out, When you want to disable Some coremods, (I.e NEI), Magic launcher DOES NOT disable the core mod when you deselect it. I ought to point that out.

I'm having a problem where as soon as I try to log in, it displays the Mojang screen, and then black screens. Is there any way I can fix this? Thanks

absolutely love this, but one problem ive been experiencing

the session, skin, realm and website servers are offline, making it a single player launcher for me,

if this is a common error, how do i fix it? ive tried re-installing it but that dosnt work either

It was working fine but now it just closes whenever I start it up. And when it isn't closing randomly, it freezes whenever I put in a mod. I have to restart my computer. Any idea why?

Doesn't freeze anymore but it still closes. I use the normal MC Launcher and that one worked fine.

Hey I love this! I only have one problem with it though. It used to work fine, but now when ever I put a single mod on it I time out of servers? I have tried a ton of mods even when it is just things like mod loader I time out? Please help soon.

I found a bug with naming the mod profiles. If you include quotation marks in the name of a mod profile (In my case, I named a profile "Vanilla", quotations included), then Magic Launcher starts up with the following error the next time you run it:
After ML starts up, all of your profiles are gone, as well. I found a relatively simple fix, as well as what's causing the issue to begin with. When the profile name gets saved into the .cfg, the quotation marks have an extra forward slash added in front of them, which seems to cause some issues with the way ML reads it on startup. All you have to do is manually delete any instances of \" in the <Name> portions of the .cfg and everything is happy again.
TL;DR: Don't use quotation marks in names for your mod profiles.

Is there a way to force Magic Launcher itself to open maximized in Windows 7?

I tried right-clicking, going to Properties, and changing Run: from "Normal window" to "Maximized." I also tried adding -maximized to the end of the text in the Target: field.

This isn't entirely true. There are some internal mods like Optifine that work with Forge.

Problems sometimes occur with internal mods because they each try to modify the same class file(s). When a mod is compatible with Forge, it should be compatible with all external mods that are compatible with Forge because Forge manages modifications to class files for external mods.

It's not so much that Forge doesn't work with some internal mods, but simply that if you have more than one of any kind of internal mod, you run a significant risk that the mods won't get along with each other.

That's my understanding anyway. If someone feels I've made a glaring error, I'm sure they'll correct me soon.

I have tried to install 3D items mod for 1.5.2 on this and I do all the directions say. Put settings Api in coremods and 3D items in mods folder but it doesn't work. I could use some help

Your minecraft.jar seems to be altered or corrupted. A file inside it named axr.class is missing.

You should be able to use the "Force Update" option to restore your minecraft.jar. You'll need to reinstall your mods afterwards.

Looking at my MagicLauncher, I see Force Update, but I'm unable to click it.
