just wanted to know if anyone has gotten this error CoFHCore " minimum version required is 1.5.1.1 This is a clean install of MC. anyone now how to fix this thanks
I have downloaded magic loader to use optifine which i need for HD texturepacks and to improve general performance.
If i use the magic loader i can use edit to add the optifine mod which says OK for mod found.
I have tried to test minecraft with just optifine as the only active mod and when i try to load a world it crashes.
I also tried it with using nothing but magic loader and it still crashes.
If anyone here can help me with my problem i'd apreciate it a lot

Everything was going just fine. A few hours ago, I was playing great. Now It won't let me online. If I go to minecraft.net to play though, I can get online just fine. What's going on?
I'm having an issue where the game suddenly crashes whenever it's loaded with Magic Launcher. I only use three mods (Zan's Minimap, Show Durability, and OptiFine - loaded in that order) and am running on Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS using Java 6, Java 7, or even OpenJDK.
Without fail, the game will always close without an error message; the time it takes to crash is, however, varying greatly. Sometimes it will crash within the first minute of playing, and sometimes it will crash after playing for an hour. It's always different.
I can't seem to find any info in any error logs, so I was wondering if there's a way to find out exactly what's causing the crash. As a side note, I am getting hs_err_pidxxxx.log files on a regular basis whenever the game is loaded, stating something like the following:
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007f565dc54c58, pid=3882, tid=140009097701120
However, the file creation time never pertains to when the game crashes; it almost always pertains to the time the game was loaded.

you people ARE LAZY, "download a mod installer". WHY! Install it correctly and you wont even NEED this crap
I can run any MC from 1.6.6 to 1.5.1 in seconds, if already loaded, minutes (5 or less) if I must create a new configuration.
I have yet to encounter any problem with Magic or SKMCLauncher that wasn't easily overcome..
I can plug in a new Mod, test whether it's something I want to keep, and remove it without ever messing with the MC.jar.

Ya There Ya Go Hopefully You Can Fix It Good Luck...
For a long while now (since 1.5 update), I've been having this problem where I sometimes can't join a server properly several times consecutively. Let me try to describe the situation...
First, this only happens when I'm using MagicLauncher. It doesn't do this, at all, with the regular Minecraft launcher or with the new launcher Mojang is working on. The problem is that when I go to join a server, three different things might happen.
Load no chunks at all and just fall very slowly through the nothingness.
Load a few chunks (7 or so) and no more, ever.
Unable to get past "Downloading world" screen, but everyone on the server sees that I've logged in. I have to be kicked in order to get to the main menu and try again.
Login just fine.
The first two happen 4 times out of 5, most of the time. I have to relog four or more times before I can actually get on a server and play. However, when 1 and 2 occur, nothing else works, either. I cannot break blocks or receive chat. If I try to chat, it doesn't show up in my client's chat, but it still goes through, and is sent to everyone on the server and logged in the console.
Some more information...
Wiping the config file at .minecraft/magic seems to temporarily fix the problem. It comes back, and I have to delete my configuration and redo everything. This also occurs regardless of whether I'm using a clean Minecraft jar. It does this on a clean Minecraft jar, as well as any modified jar.
I have tried force updating Minecraft to redownload LWJGL files. I have completely wipe my .minecraft folder and started fresh. I have done pretty much everything I can possibly do, short of reinstalling Windows (I doubt it's a Windows 8 problem). I have even uninstalled all of Java and reinstalled in case I had a bad installation, or in case of JRE conflicts between JRE6 and JRE7. Nothing I have done fixes this. I am reaching the end of my wits, here, and want answers. It would be a tremendous relief to even know that I am not alone with this problem.
EDIT: The scenarios below describe more behaviors.
Bukkit + Essentials + MagicLauncher: Chunks sometimes don't load at all, sometimes only load a few, as described above.
Bukkit + NO PLUGINS + MagicLauncher: Everything works perfectly fine.
Bukkit + Essentials + Default Launcher: Everything works perfectly fine.
Vanilla + MagicLauncher: Everything works perfectly fine.
This leads me to believe the problem is a combination of the Bukkit plugin "Essentials" and Magic Launcher.

Can you fix it? I'm getting the exact same thing every time!
I'd like that.
the way it's looking is you don't have enough memory to support giving MC 4000MB of memory. try dumming it down to 1024mb and see if that works. if it does, slowly go up in memory sizes till you find one that works just before one that doesen't work.

Any information on why it is failing? Please let me know.
EDIT: By the way, if I start MagicLauncher and point it at a pre-loaded (with MCF already inserted) minecraft.jar, ML detects that is premodded and starts minecraft with no blackscreen of death. So, somewhere in the injection phase ML is causing an error with MCF on startup. I hope this information helps.
