I've been getting a similar error to this, and I can't find a way to solve it.
Allocate 0 memory in the "Setup" screen, too much memory is being allocated. Start a game and hit "F3" to see how much memory is being used, then exit and set a little above the max being used.
Also make sure that the latest Java is installed by uninstalling the current one then install a newest downloaded copy. If you have 64bit OS make sure to download Java 64bit also, as the auto update on their website only detects browsers.

You will not touch my jar file. I repeat, you WILL NOT touch my jar file!Keep it simple and use MagicLauncher
Hey I really like magic launcher and it is very useful, but I have 1 question. How would you use nodus with magic launcher? I like to use nodus on servers i dont like, but i disable it on ones i do like. So thanks guys if you could figure out how to use nodus with magic launcher just reply. Thx
The binary representation for .jars and .zips is the same, so tell it to "install" Nodus just like any other mod that goes into the .jar.
I downloaded Magic Launcher for mac os x. Every time i test it with no mods added, it starts up fine, but when i add something like modloader, it does this.

I don't know what is wrong with it, i've tried googleing what to do, but it doesnt give me any answers, please help!
it won't let me update to 1.3.2... i'm stuck on 1.3.1. won't even let me force update
Then use the normal Minecraft launcher to force update.

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
If the configuration is using a separate folder (Advanced -> Minecraft Folder) then it will have its own settings including skin, worlds, etc.
The custom menu is cool, I saw it on reddit.
Adding a custom menu is only possible with mods, the launcher can not do this.
I guess it wouldn't be to bad to have 5 different Minecraft folders o_0. Yeah, why keep everything in one manageable place?

MC 1.7.4 Mods: None TxtPack:Faithful x32
sry to bring this up if it has already been solved... but I have little time of late and need a hand.
I'm unable to get forge to work with the magic launcher and my little brother is driving me up the wall to get the fossil and mingicka to work for him, when placing forge in it reads ok, and runs fine, however the desired mods will read either "no mods found" or "no Forge" and when trying to run like this it results in a black screen.
this is a strange problem because I can get mods that run with modloader to run just fine.. can someone help?
I put Forge in my MagicLauncher and the best I could get from moving it around was 3 errors; and at this point I frankly don't give a crap -- I'm so tired of wasting endless hours trying to get custom content to work in this game I'm ready to dump all of it. Forge claims we don't need ModLoader but how can I trust anyone at this point? I'm spending so much time trying to fix custom content problems I've almost no time for playing the actual game; it's absurd!

The latest version of Forge doesnt need ModLoader. Forge needs to be at the top of the list when you add your mods.
also you need to make sure that you are using it on a clean 1.3.2 mincraft.jar file not a modded 1.3.2 minecraft.jar file as well.

Make sure that Forge itself is at the top of the list of available mods in ML also make sure it is a clean minecraft.jar file. if that doesnt work rename the old .minecraft fold to anything else and run minecraft.exe and give it a clean 'install' again then copy/move the saves to the new .minecraft/saves folder and retry adding mods in ML

I just now put Forge in my MagicLoader and removed ModLoader. Bingo! I finally got a frick'n mod to work... and I mean ANY mod. I can see that not all mods are going to work with Forge but heck, the fact I can get ANY mod to work is a milestone. Oh the hours I've wasted on this insanity!
By the way, to eliminate listed errors in Forge I have to place it second on the list (following Audio Mod.)
Hmmm, maybe I should actually reduce it then. I'll try it out, don't lose anything by trying. Thanks
Actually I still get the occasional 'lag' /blip (whatever)... but usually this happens if I've been playing MC for a while.....
mind you IIRC - my PC is getting on to being 6yrs old

don't know if this'll help
I had this with a MOD (I'm on Windows though) it was due to the Mod I was using was for the WRONG version of Minecraft....
It was originally for 1.3.1 IIRC but the developer claimed it also worked with 1.3.2 ..... It didn't
I've download this launcher and used it and when I've played about 10 minutes Minecraft stop working... I've to close Minecraft and start again. This does not happen to my Minecraft when I use the regular launcher... I am using the 12w37a snapshot.
Anyways, I LOVE this launcher.

Not Enough Items doesn't work with MagicLauncher in 1.3.2. Mods list shows it loaded, but interface won't open. Same setup works when manually installed. MagicLauncher doesn't seem to load the coremods folder properly.
I have a little problem some reason the magic launcher is acting odd on me when have it up i get all the tabs loading and when i tried to log in it never finishes i check on minecraft and seem working fine other then the servers not showing connections so i was wounder does somehow those 2 connected to something well any case i think it might be java but i don't know i hope you answer my problem.
P.S. if ur going ask for picture i don't have some kind of snapshot program.
P.S.S. I forgot to add this started to happen 2 days ago 09/20/12to be sure of it.
nvm i solved it was java some unknown reason it was having problems with java 7 update 7 for some reason i think.
Place the current ".minecraft" folder into a backup one then start MC by itself to start clean.
Allocate 0 memory in the "Setup" screen, too much memory is being allocated. Start a game and hit "F3" to see how much memory is being used, then exit and set a little above the max being used.

That means you're telling MagicLauncher to give Minecraft more RAM than your computer has.
Weird.
The binary representation for .jars and .zips is the same, so tell it to "install" Nodus just like any other mod that goes into the .jar.
Also weird.
The problem's outdated Java.
Then use the normal Minecraft launcher to force update.
Usually a result of mismatched or non-compatible mods. make sure that all the mods you are using are compatible.
