New Mods
I'm one, and not too good at the computer "stuff" either lol
I either use minecraft through the browser, by going to minecraft.net, or through the exe file with the soil block pic from my desktop.
As a result, I haven't got minecraft in my program filesand have no idea how to get them there.
I can't make the modder tool work.
I have it all installed, have the two console things, but it isn't seeing my apps folder and my minecraft info.
PLEASE help me resolve this, cos I am eager to start installing mods!
I have no mods installed atm and just use the standard issue files as described above.
Thanks for any and all help, and sorry to be such a noob but I have been at this for hours!
Regards
Gay Elston
i need some info
1.) What is your OS
2.) Where did you install minecraft
For this click on your executable and once it loads click on the Options button and copy down the blue highlighted text.
Is it something to do with Modder's INI.dll file?
I don't know how to edit them, so would be grateful if someone could send me an edited INI.dll if that's what's wrong.
This is VERY frustrating.
You know what they say: a little knowledge is a dangerous thing - and this woman is feeling VERY dangerous indeed!

Okay you have XP
Modder Tool will automatcially detect if you have a genuine copy or not. If you don't have a genuine copy it might not work properly
Windows Vista and 7 Users install minecraft here C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
You are using XP so where did you install minecraft. Please replace your Username with xxx (for privacy).
INI.dll is the configuration file for Minecraft Modder Tool.
minecraft.ttf is not needed for this tool. It has its own built-in skin and text.
I think my tool is not compatible to run with your OS or it is getting blocked. Anyways provide me the above info and I might solve the problem.
Hello, sorry for not searching, but I just tried to install some mods with this tool on a fresh jar, and it doesn't work, it won't install correctly (it says it installed it fine in the modding tool, but it doesn't affect the actual game).
