So I run a realms just for me and my friends and I joined the other day and saw that someone set a command block infinitely killing me and I looked all over the web to find something to help me find it (my realms is huge) so I found this software and I went: 'oh! cool! A software that does exactly what I need!' So I got the software and went to the world backup and hit cmd + f and typed in Name:Command and Value:RainbowSherbert1 and only found one result that wasn't /kill RainbowSherbert1. so I put name:Command Value:/kill RainbowSherbert1 and everything went white. my main question is how do I find the command block.
Well I had never tried to find a command block with a specified input using Third-party programs. But you may try to use MCedit unified to see if it work. (You can google Mcedit for the software.)
I downloaded NBTExplorer on Mac to modify a file in order to fix my iron farm on my minecraft server, but I can't open it ! this is a .dat file, and i thought this software was supposed to open them.
Can someone help me ?
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
Yes, use the Edit tab, (top of opened world) copy, then paste.
MC cannot be open. I suggest you empty your inventory (place in chests in your home, Don't forget your armor!) first.
Open your game, click Level.dat, then Data, Player, finally Inventory.
I just delete "Inventory" and paste a copy of my preferred "Inventory". I call my preference "Tools".
Don't forget to save changes.
I only play Single Player and despise the combat crap that's been added.
Need more help PM me.
Hi I was wondering if you can use NBTExplorer to edit Pixelmon? Specifically I want to set my world back to about 20 minutes before my last save and my death lol. And if it is possible to do this could someone please tell me how or point me in the right direction as to how? Thanks.

For the moment, you're probably SOL. For the future, I suggest installing Aroma Backup.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
First-time NBTExplorer user here. I'm running a Mac with Yosemite 10.10.5.
I can get the .app to run just fine. I can get it to look at a .dat just fine. I can get it to delete an inventory item just fine. But the "Save" is always greyed out - I cannot save any changes. Tried two different .dat files. While it's really lovely to have an NBT browser, what I really need is an NBT editor.
I've tried downloading what supposedly are different versions of NBTExplorer, from three different sites. They all ended up being the version of NTBExplorer.app that's dated Nov. 10, 2012, 9:40pm. Is there a newer one somewhere?

Did you have MC open while trying to use NBTExplorer?
The game cannot be active while you modify it!

I use from the OP (page 1 post 1) of this thread NBTExplorer 2.7.6, HTH.

You can download the world & use MCEdit to delete the command block

And it's a stand-alone! That's awesome. Thanks!

May i ask, is there a way to open NBTExplorer with a Console?
Needs the GUI system to display.
Do you mean "open -a NBTExplorer"? Or ~/Applications/NBTExplorer.app/Contents/MacOS/NBTExplorer?

I want to stop the generation of Ocean monument's on all pre - 1.8 maps opened in 1.8.x + versions of Minecraft . Playing a 1.7.10 map , I know that if a player is in a chunk for at least 3 minutes , then that chunk will not generate a Ocean monument in 1.8.x + , because of some time flag .
I want to do a search and replace of the time in chunk flag to stop those Ocean monument's generating in my maps towns .
What number value in ticks should i change to stop this ?
Any help would be great TY
can you copy paste inventory data?

How do I add tags? I select the parent of the tag I want to add and then click "Add Compound" (or any other type of tag) but nothing happens.

Do you have write access to the file? Did you exit your game before trying to mess with the files?
Thanks for this tool
Somewhat.
I have a long startup for first window, but then it starts fast for as many windows as I need.
Just what I needed thank worked to help me shut off an update checker that was making custom Main Menus look ugly.
Love, there is nothing greater!
