I just installed IndustrialCraft 2 and it doesn't work with Mod Manager. When I try to load a world, it says saving chunks then gives me a black screen.
I found an Error report on my problem with using IndustrialCraft with Mod Manager.

All mods that require an installer should still work, if you install them before installing this. There's no real way to make them able to be disabled, though. If a mod has stuff that needs to go into the resources folder (or anywhere that's not minecraft.jar), you should just put the files there normally.
If you really need a mod and can't seem to get it working, you can always install it into game.jar. You just won't have the enable/disable feature.
I've done a lot of work on conflict resolution, but I've been perpetually busy and had no time to wrap anything up.

I made pistons. You might be interested in my mod manager.
Can you compile the .class files and the resource folders from several mods into 1 .zip file to make switching between sets of mods easier? For example, for multiplayer with my friends, I use optifine, zombe modpack and too many items. For when I use mo creatures, I use modloader, audiomod, custom mob spawner, and gui api. I use similar setups for different singleplayer/multiplayer scenario's, but I don't want to have to enable and disable 5 different mods everytime I want to play minecraft.

You can indeed combine the .class files. However, the resource folders should not be put into .zips and thus must always be installed. This shouldn't be a problem, though, because the resources are not loaded unless the mods are.

I think this tool has a problem with MC Patcher (or the changes that MC Patcher makes). I can't the game to run with Mod Manager without it crashing after a few minutes.
Please help!

...You have to MAKE the folder.

I made my own, but it's not working...

Im using it with 1.1, however if you wanted to use a ModLoader mod, you need to wait for the creator to update the ModLoader.class file first

EDIT: Can someone compile this i can't get it to compile?
