How do I use it? I downloaded the file, unzipped it, and ran the exe. I picked the number I wanted (53) and pressed enter. Something appeared on it but it was too fast and I couldn't read it, and then the window closed. My minecraft is still 1.0.0. What am I doing wrong? :sad.gif:

I downgraded mine to Alpha 1.12 to relive the good days when I just got Minecraft, during that "free to play" weekend because the servers were down. Anyway, whenever I try to downgrade to, say, infdev to see how it was, it gets stuck at "Done loading" and the loading bar is almost full. I have to delete my bin folder every time.

Is there a workaround to this?
Did you start with a fresh vanilla minecraft? No mods and at 1.0.0?
First off: Thank you for the update. It's a godsend.
BUT, I was wondering if there was a way to make a SMP version of MCNostalgia? We have the 1.0.0 server but wanna go back to 1.8.1 for the use of one of the mods. We can't find anyway to return to it. Do you think you could look into it for us?
extra just for reading :biggrin.gif:

The only way for me to do that is if somebody else made the patches, using bsdiff to make a patch to take the 1.0.0 SMP version to the desired version to downgrade. Plus, there's also the legality of it. I would have to contact mojang like CyborgDragon did with about the minecraft client, and get permission to do this. So the answer is probably no.
Love it! But, it desperately needs an "Unpatch" function. I know I seem lazy saying this, but I don't like having to reinstall Minecraft when I'm finished playing Indev and want to get back to 1.0.0.
Are you still lookingg for a place to upload with direct URLs? If so, contact me so I'm not spreading links on the main forums to different game websites. It's primarily an open source game engine, but the site has what you're looking for as well. The only issue is that you can't touch the upload after you put it up. You would need to find some other way to get the patcher to find the updates.

When i downgrade to beta 1.7.3 and i open minecraft it keeps stuck at done loading
what do i have to do so i can play it?
I'm gonna update MCNostalgia so that it doesn't just disappear when its done. That way people can paste the output here.
I'll update the first post when its ready. That way people can actually give me info when they get the Done Loading stuck thing.

Hey man, first off, awesome tool! Second, and this is just a suggestion, maybe you should make the first post a little more attractive, by adding some colors and pictures? Would be pretty cool. :smile.gif:
Anyway, awesome tool, thanks a lot!
Thanks for the suggestion, I've got some screenshots on the first post now. :biggrin.gif:
Might want to add small blurb at start.
Updated the first post, thanks for the suggestion.
Try running it from the command prompt.

Yes I did. When I delete my bin I just start fresh. But when I first did this procedure, I made sure to force an update so I was clean.
Try running it in the command prompt, and paste any errors that show up.
