Hey,
is there a need to select the level.dat file? I mean, will there ever be a time when there is more then one?
You could save an entire step by having the code select the file from the chosen folder. Then if there is not level.dat you could pop up an error box "level corrupt" or something.

That is an interesting idea. However, I think users would prefer it if you actually had to select the level.dat file manually, particularly if the world is not saved in %appdata%/.minecraft/saves . Java's folder chooser does not allow for viewing of files and the file chooser can not select folders. I may add an option where there is a drop-down list of all the worlds in the saves folder, plus an option to manually select a world. Plus, it only takes a few extra seconds to manually select the level.dat file.
does this work for hardcore mode yet? cuz i died after getting super far (10+ hours of hard work and farming) in it and i really REALLY dont want to delete it and switch it to regular survival then switch back to hardcore after i respawn, hope it would save me the trouble of having to start a new world over again
Thank you ever so much! I was looking for something like this to make an ADV map, but I didn't want to download large mods, I just needed something that could change the mode of the gameplay, and voila, right here. Thanks! :smile.gif:
I like this over the idea of in-game mods, as this won't constantly tempt me to cheat after I'm done building. Thanks a ton for making this. :biggrin.gif:
i did adventure map to creative and later back agen to adventure but now im still able to use fly by dubbel pressing space.
Are you working on fixing it or ???
Just the program I needed! Unfortunately, when I used it with 1.9pre5 to switch from creative to survival, it only half-worked. I got my health, hunger, and experience bars back, but I could still fly and nothing could hurt me. In fact, mobs wouldn't attack me unless I attacked them first. I swapped out my minecraft.jar for the 1.9pre4 and everything worked as it should. Just a heads up that something about pre5 seems to affect the functioning of this program.

Mac OSX
Exactly the same problem but it's bothering me like heck. (Not to mention me playing with the fly got me halfway across the nether and when I returned to the overworld I had to fly for a day to get back.)
I want to be hurt again :sad.gif:
But otherwise awesome tool!
