The Minecraft community in general isn't about "respecting and caring" either. It largely consists of narcissistic children who disregard those other than themselves and like to spout anger, abuse, troll and flame. It is also why any competent multiplayer builder either owns a private server or one where build allowance requires in-depth vetting. If Minecraft was about "respecting and caring" these measures would clearly not be necessary.
Hi!
I want to compliment you on making this wonderful tool!
I would also like to request a feature; it would be very handy if you could manually select the jar that it generates the world off of. If you added this it would make me very happy

This feature is planned for the next major AMIDST update. However, it's a large update, so it's still in progress.
Could you add spawners? Its hard finding spawner in nether or in overworld, And I'm in need of one on my test map. P.s. when is the server thing up?
Also could you have a direct download?
Has been asked for before, not sure if it's even possible, if so, may be difficult to implement, look back through the thread, see if Skidoodle mentions if he has it planned.
In the meantime, try either Minutor or Minecraft Xray both can only show the terrain you have already explored, and each has a different way of showing the map, but both can make quick work of finding a dungeon.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
I downloaded last amidst, then generated a map based on the seed. I chose "large biomes" option.
Then, I opened minecraft 1.3.1, and created the same map, with same seed and the large biome option. When checking the map, it was not close to the map amidst generated. Is it a problem with amidst, or am I doint something wrong?
My question is if I am playing on a server hosted by a friend of mine, how do I open the file in AMIDST? I can open my single player saves and it works great, but I can not figure it out for multiplayer.

If you are using file mode then you must have physical access to the map file, perhaps your friend will give you a copy of the world?
Otherwise; if it is a normal non-modified world then you can view a Biome map of it with only the seed, providing the version of Minecraft you have on your computer is the same as the version that made the servers map, and providing you can find out the seed.

Looks like there is still an issue with Large Biomes. All biomes shown are small except for Ocean and Ice Mountains.... and they're all wrong.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I've tried both the EXE and the JAR with the same results. Just wanted to rule that out.
