I can't seem to get the mac version to work. I am on a MacBook Pro, running OSX 10.6.8, latest mac version of Java and Minecraft 1.2.4. (I do patch my game with HD Patcher, if that could be messing this up somehow?)
When I launch the application, it tells me:
sh: line 0: cd: *application location*
No such file or directory.
Unable to access jarfile AMIDST.jar
Well. Seems mods break Admist. I am running MC 1.2.3 with IndustrialCraft 2 1.81, Redpower PR4E, Buildcraft, Modern Winter Mode, and a few other mods. I load up the latest Admist and load from file and select the world's level.dat and so far, striking out 5 for 5 on finding a village. I am using Single Player Commands to /t to the coords shown in Admist. So if it says "Selected Object at (853 220) " i would type /t 853 80 220 , making sure I am in Fly mode before hand, and, as I said, 5 for 5, no villages in all the spots I've checked.
Update: I just went back to the version of 1.2.3 before I installed Modern Winter Mode and found a village in a minute so... Already posted over on their forum thread to see what's up with that. >.< Apologies if I upset anyone, this is one weird seeming bug.

I doubt it has anything to do with mods, unless you are running ones that drastically change the terrain generator. Maybe the coords are backwards? Try teleporting to 220 80 853? I dunno otherwise, it's always been spot on for me.
Also, if the terrain was generated in an older version of minecraft and AMIDST is reading the new terrain generator, then villages can/will be different.
I have an annoying problem, when I launch AMIDST it keeps showing me this message:
Exception in thread "main"
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version in class file
at java.lang.classLoader.defineClass1(native Method)
blablabla.....
I've deleted minecraft and download it again and checked that I'm on a good java update (Version 12.9.0 (12.9.0)) and it's still not running. I'm on a Mac OS X with 10.5.8 version...
Does anyone know how to fix this ?
If you don't know but you care about helping me here is my see, I'm looking for a stronghold near me ( x=-920 and y=-450) seed= 4199857377169060937
many thanks

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.

I'm pretty sure ic2 adds blocks and alternates the generator, modern winter may by the sound of it, dunno what it is though and dont feel like looking it up, sorry.

No one using a creeper avatar has ever posted anything worth reading.
Fact.
This may have been asked before but it takes quite a while to sift through 60+ pages. When you run Amidst and you click
File >
New >
it then shows:
From Seed
From File
From Server
Is the "From Sever" just a place holder, or is there really a way to use this thing on Multiplayer?
Als, Does ANYONE know how to find the seed from a server? The one I visit exclusively used to show "0" as the seed. Now it doesn't show the seed at all.
Am I the only one who has had 100% inaccuracy since the new update? I've quadruple checked the seed and it just doesn't work. I've tested over 50 seeds now and none of them are anything like the AMIDST map. It worked fine before .26 update.
I hate to bug you but it's still 100% inaccurate in the new version. I don't know if it's just me or what I've used this for a while now and I know I'm not doing anything wrong. Double checked everything.
When I launch the application, it tells me:
sh: line 0: cd: *application location*

Everything is great other than that.

The link is working just fine now. Thanks for the update.
I'll switch the links for now and look at it later, as I am in the middle of moving to a new apartment.
What is this and how can I get it working, need to find something.
