They were going to be made but weren't. He's slowly developing a rebuild of AMIDST, although I'd guess development is basically stopped since SMP no longer sends seeds.
I know this may be a big request or if you already have it in the program.. how do you use? But could you add a nether fortress finder (if this was on the post and I missed this im sorry). So far I cannot find a tab in the program or anything to enter the nether.
I saw this asked a couple pages ago but didn't see an answer. Are the co-ordinates for nether fortresses gives in overworld or nether coordinates?
edit: looks like they're nether coordinates. I looked for one about where one I already found should be and it indicated on the map that there was one there.
your program correctly found a few villages but it still managed to troll me. It gave a beach as a possible village location. No village was in the near area from that point.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me. I found out the map option is selectable when you load from file. I forgot about that. If you type in a seed it isn't selectable.
Also why do you think he would stop developing the program just because of SMP not showing the seed? ADMIST has many uses in single player. People still want to find out where their strongholds and villages are. Also the biome mapping lets you know if a map is worth playing. If there is a weird layout of biomes on my seed I usually scrap the map and generate a new one.
+1 for nether support. Although it may seem like the second version has been in development for a long time but the updates to the current version are always very fast. Minecraft updates and then this program updates.
Thanks for the wonderful program Skidoodle.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
This will sit here for inspiration for Proloe to update!!
This Program no longer works since eversingle map that is open by it shows the same map, But seeds work fine. Which has delayed my singleplayer build to an almost full stop. Could you please fix loading up maps.
- After Downloading a fresh copy it work fine. Seems the update didn't comptely download correctly when i updated minecraft.

Well, development has paused. But it has nothing to do with the multiplayer changes, and a lot more to do with being unemployed.

I did reply to some1 about a similar post on the previous page and quoted the following from other posts
......The village will not spawn if the terrain is not suitable. I think you should always regard the village icons as potential sites..........
....Third the villagething detects where the game will try to spawn a village, there are certain codings that determine whether that location will be good enough....so basically - Village positions shown are 'Potential places' & not actual places

Funny that, I was just coming in to this thread to thank you for the answer. Though it really should be on the first page.

Actually - it already is..... well - sort of. Under the FAQ section it does say
Q: It says there's a village, and I can't seem to find one there!
A: AMIDST isn't entirely accurate. At the moment it's about 90% accurate. I'm always looking for ways to make it more accurate, but for the moment, just try to not be too upset when it's wrong.
so perhaps it could be altered to something like the following to make things clearer
F.A.Q. Q: It says there's a village, and I can't seem to find one there!
A: AMIDST isn't entirely accurate. At the moment it's about 90% accurate. I'm always looking for ways to make it more accurate, but for the moment, just try to not be too upset when it's wrong. Think of the village locations shown as 'POTENTIAL' places where you may find one
Because that makes it sound much more inaccurate that 90%. It has been 100% accurate for me, at least after the first few updates. How so many people don't find villages is beyond me. I'm sure once his program can do block data, it will be 100%. I think the 10% comes from the map being just wrong enough to disallow village spawning.
I know you said there is no virus and many many people confirm it but my Avast keeps saying there is, is there a reason why it would do that? I'm going to disable Avast but just wondering what makes it do that?
I love this program but today it isnt working. It says to enter name of intcache class. i dont know what to put in the box, because i dont know what a intcache is lol.
is there another download link because avast always blocks it and i don't know how to unblock it, so if anyone could tell me how or give me another link, that would be great !
edit: looks like they're nether coordinates. I looked for one about where one I already found should be and it indicated on the map that there was one there.
