I am having a problem. I use Mac OS X, so I tried using Terminal to open it. This is what I got:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file

I love this program now. I have found some massive mushroom biomes, if you fly up and look down to see as much land as generates at once (on far) they have taken three screenshots to get the whole island on them, ild say a few thousand by a few thousand blocks.

Fact.
Downloaded this last night without knowing anything about it, other than it finds strongholds.
Got around to testing it just now. Insanely impressed at the functionality and polish!
Well done sir! You are a gentleman and scholar!
Nether forts seem to be found in the same places they were found in 1.9 pre 4, so you can use that version of MC Stronghold finder to find Nether forts in 1.0.0
Also, Nether forts seem to occur every 300-400 m in a cluster around Nether 0,0 so finding them should not be a huge problem. If you've scanned the 1000m radius area around 0,0 and found nothing, that's actually pretty rare. Start a different world. Or mix-match and use 1 seed for your overworld, and sub in a different pre-generated DIM-1 folder from a different seed. The important part again is the first 1000 m around netherspawn. The only thing you'll need to do is fix the portals - they will no longer match up because the seeds/worlds are different. Any new ones you make SHOULD be fine.
A good seed to find Nether forts in 1.0.0 is "bobsnox"
Our server has at least four distinct nether forts, each with its own set of netherwort farms and blaze spawner parapets.
Great program dude, thx for it but I'm having a different problem. I've teleported to all 3 of them and trying to locate them with the ender eyes but it's leading me to nowhere :S. I'm using my old world since May. So I've been walking around a lot, is there a chance they just didn't spawn because I've been there already in the radious where they were supposed to spawn?
If yes is there any way I could force them to spawn? Or anything similar as I've never been in one and I'm dying to go out and fight a dragon lol. Or will I have to wait for any future updates that gives us unlimited strongholds?
Well... yes... to all of it. Your best bet is to start a new world with the same seed and use MCEdit to move all the stuff you've built. However, failing that, you can delete the chunks that had the strongholds in them.
So I typed in "java -noverify -jar" into my terminal and dragged the amidst.jar from downloads to terminal and I got this:

Hm, I honestly don't know how to fix that. I'll look into it more though.
I seem to have a problem with moving from place to place.
Whenever I try to jump from place to place using the map, I end up high up in the sky and die upon falling on the ground. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way to avoid this?

You're not doing anything wrong, I just don't have a way to get the height map in that version.
Hopefully, in 2.1, this won't be a problem. *fingers crossed* So far it's semi-working.
Unrelated to your question, I just want to say that 2.1 will also feature Google Analytics, so I can see what errors are being run into commonly, along with what features are used the most.
Edit:
Also, sorry for being rather slow at replying to emails, I finally got the whole forwarding thing set up correctly.
Tried the 2nd but can't seems to get my MCEdit to work properly. I open my level.dat with it and all I see is my spawner and all the rest is black and I can't see anything where to go.
Also if I remove the chunks would that stronghold re-spawn at that spot or somewhere else?
I honestly don't know. The save format was recently changed. However, it's not stored in level.dat, it's stored in the dim folders.

Please- Don't Grief.
This is now answered in the first post.

Anticipating the Nether features :smile.gif:

When I try to run the script in terminal, I get this:
Unable to access jarfile amidst.jar
Can anyone tell me what could be wrong??

Any suggested command-line usages would be nice though.
Because there aren't...

If you're really sure that there are still only three strongholds per map... then I think you can edit this :
"Unlimited Strongholds per map (changed from three)."

Well, I could be wrong, but I'm staring at the source code for it right now, and I see no changes.
You are welcome to edit the page on my behalf (I have no idea what I'm doing) and remove it. I can provide proof if you'd like.
