Hey! Thanks for checking this out. I would suggest checking out the tutorials for some more information. Once you've finished your mod you can download it on the McModGen website - no emailing involved.
The issue is probably that you don't have Java Development Kit installed (or your path variable needs set). Here is a nice tutorial on setting that up:
Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but why don't you trust batch files? They're a good file to trust. You can right click on them, click edit, and then see ALL of the code that is going to be executed, that way you know nothing malicious is happening.
Here's a link to the blocks and project tutorial directly:
I don't really have the time to explain all of the setup without my batch files, but here's a link to forge setup for 1.8:
And then you put the McModGen files under the src folder.

Ok, I will trust you, but if my computer exploded it will be your fault.
Not really sure what's going on. I need to see what the logs say. When you run the batch file it will say something like "Build finished with status: 0" and "Setup finished with status: 0" and so on.
One of those probably says it's "1". Please let me know which one!
I'll need to see your log to really help you. Go under the "ForgeSRC" folder and then find the "gradle-setup.txt" file. Copy the contents (or screenshot them) of that file and send them to me. Thanks!

Sorry, but I don't know which one it was. My mother closed the installation when it was finished.! Maybe I should install it one more time?
Alrighty, that error is being caused because the building isn't work (see how build status is returning 1). To help you, I'm going to need you to provide me with the log for the build. To find this go into the "ForgeSRC" folder and then look for the "gradle-build.txt" file. Make sure the get the text file and not the batch one of the same title. Copy the contents (or screenshot) of that and give them to me and I'll get your problem sorted!
[Nooby question] Where can I download this?Sorry. | was stupid...@CheesyWeesy2

For sure. Try running the setup again!
Just registered, want to try this out, but can't receive the activation email.

Hey, super sorry you're having troubles. First off, make sure to check your spam box. Lots of time the E-mails get thrown there for some reason.
If that doesn't work just let me know and I can do a manual activation of your account!
Thanks,
- Nikc
The email program I'm using doesn't have a spam box (i know, weird...), it's possible it went to spam on my server but I can't access it.
Running into the following issue with the compiler. recently downloaded JDK 8u45

Alrighty, well, what's the username you used on your account? I can manually activate it.
