Looking forward to it, TLB (thelegendaryblah). Your installer tool is the best one I've seen and I like the way your next version will allow you to switch whole install sets. It works exactly the way I want it to. :smile.gif:

thank you, yes i know i am not really good at keeping the release date correct, sorry
Ok this is kind of pissing me off. I get a black screen. What do you mean in the FAQ, "Download it with my mod." I'm trying to add Zombe's ModPack
EDIT: The quote has nothing to do with this :tongue.gif:
it may be due to two reasons...
1. some computers are known to not be able to run .bat files (my program's core functions are .bats)
2. you somehow put stuff in the wrong directory (just a possibility)
3. you have a mod conflict (likely)
i should note that if the reasons are 1 and 2 then you probably wont need to worry about it because the new version coming out will not rely on bats and it could smartly install mods for you
I was thinking, if we install all these mods, it can be hard to keep track of the different block values ( y'know, the values you need for block spawning and block compability).
Is it a possible idea that you insert a block value list (when ur not to busy :tongue.gif: )?
Now for the celebration thingy, more and more people are discovering this mod! Google gives us first place with search ''mincraft omnitool'' and 4th if searching ''minemod omnitool'' (4th place if you did count the video's above of our modloader :tongue.gif:, so actually first!)
BTW, how about spamming the yogscast about this modloader :biggrin.gif: ?
EDIT: trying to learn HTML to post the modloader on the minecraft wiki. Maybe it'll be better if someone else actually posts it there, stupid HTML :sad.gif:
yeah, about mod compatibilities, i am constantly trying on retrieving the block ids, if anyone out there knows where i could find the block ids, then i will literally hug that person to death (the compatibilities thing probably wont make it into the currently developing version because i am already way late on release dates :unsure.gif: )
yeah i did notice some fame with the program :cool.gif: , i check the download counts daily, the yogscast thing is doable, but i'll probably wait until i actually finish R1.0
about the wiki page, if you actually did so, then it would be really awesome of you, i will probably do it if no one did so when i actually release R1.0
Looks O.K. but I don't plan on using it because I'm lightning fast with the "manual installations" that people seem to be crapping on these days.
I agree with kinx, if you can spiff up the gui interface it might be widely used.
I'll pm my sister bout this.
Same here. And I'm on a mac atm anyways. Still haven't saved enough to get my alienware laptop :tongue.gif: (not a joke. Seriously am saving for alienware laptop)

This is awesome. Now if only I could understand what the hell it all means.
so, i am now seriously toying with the idea to add adf.ly links as well as direct links and also a donate button, so are any of you guys against it or something? be noted that the direct link will be the "bigger" link like down there:
DIRECT DOWNLOAD ADF.LY to show your appreciation
so will you guys really be bothered if i put up an adf.ly link as well as a donate button?
NOTE: i will probably be using the money to get a domain as well as getting myself some pocket money for college (yes, rents in silicon valley is expensive to a student)
(yes i almost completed R1.0, the only thing left is some GUI scripts as well as the auto updater)
thanks, however, i am not looking for the vanilla ids, i am looking for a way to look for mod block ids
it's still awesome that someone actually cares :tongue.gif:
found the location of block ids, at least a cheap version of them, also, heres a warning if you plan on going adfly... this happened to me when i used an adfly link once.... posting blockid location soon
some configs are either stored in .minecraft property or config files, but in .minecraft/config more are stored, its a temp fix till you fully figure it out, though....
guys, i've finally did it!! REBORN 1.0 is out!! sorry it's quite late i know
you should check out the smart mod adder, it automatically adds mods for you by looking at the files' extensions!
R1.0 is also 10 times faster when applying changes because i've changed codes for the copying method!
it is also now standalone, so you are just downloading an exe file, nothing more
Nice! Auto update feature!
BTW do you got teh link to that yogscast program? Cant find it.
i've decided auto update is not really useful since now omni tool is standalone, so i didnt implement it...
about yogscast, how do i add my program to it?
here's the release notes
09/10/2011 - version 1.4 (Reborn 1.0) finally released
-way better mod template leading to performance increase
-new file copying and management method leading to EXTREMELY UBER HIGH increase in performance
-new compression method leading to better performance
-changed chatroom provider (sometimes doesnt work)
-total rewrite
-removed optilauncher
-browser now improved and infinitely better with popular links
I'm having trouble adding mods. I keep getting an error that has something to do with "maininstall".
oh...
umm did you use the smart mod adder or the manual option?
EDIT: oh are you getting the "Manual folder id error: maininstall value incorrect" thing? its totally my fault, i forgot to set the case values for the drag and drop window
man the people redoing our floor are good, but ive been gone from the house for a while, anyways im off to test omni tool reborn :biggrin.gif:
please redownload the newer version because version 1.0 has a bug in the manual install section...
i'll probably go to sleep after this post as it is 5 in the morning at my place, hope you get your floor done soon
for some reason the loading bar starts for a second then it says changes where applied but when I try and play no mods are working, so checked the minecraft.jar and nothing was in it that would be from the mods. why is this?

Did you click on apply changes when you were done adding mods?
If you did, then please tell me how you added the mods

when I click apply changes the bar loads for a second (only gets a small way across)then it says that it finished when it did nothing
I installed all mods manually
Mods installed:
mod loader
audio mod
too many items
single player commands
clay solider mod
Finder compass mod
Recipe book
timber mod
weapon mod
stuffed animals
weeping angel mod
(maybe trampoline mod if the program starts to work)
Note: when I close it and open it its says there are 24 changes to be made so I click apply changes and it does the same loading problem so i close it and open it and it starts again with 24 unsaved changes
same here, i love the omni tool so much, haha

PS i like the TLB, never thought of that
thank you, i bet you will love it more when REBORN could finally be out (it was supposed to be out by 1st of october, but *sighs)

You could look at how toomanyitems does it if you know java... The only problem is the source code isn't deobfuscated.
EDIT: Agh. Sorry. Doublepost.

In fact, I just clicked on the words "Direct Download" in your post, thinking/hoping that R1.0 was on the other side. Then I read further. :wink.gif:

i've added a list of confirmed compatible and incompatible mods for the smart mod adder so you know what doesnt work with the smart mod adder
i just checked and your mod works with the smart mod adder as well!
