Thanks for this! No slimes yet but with your tools I have a slime chunk hollowed out in a 16x16x4 room and the game still unpaused while I write this, so I look forward to getting some sticky pistons.

So in other words, the (natural) algorithm doesn't even get to the point where small slimes are handled differently.
The check however, might affect other things, like slime spawning mob spawners. These do indeed only spawn small slimes on peaceful, because they don't go through the normal algorithm.
How certain are you? If you google, you will easily find a few hundred hits where people have spotted slimes spawning in Peaceful. Perhaps you can World Edit out a huge 272x272x126 empty area on bedrock, put a layer of glowstone floor on, and just sit in it in the middle for a while in peaceful mode and see if it spawns any slimes.
The wiki discussion disagrees with your code by providing alternative code. That is "slimeSize == 1 OR difficulty > PEACEFUL" isn't quite the same as "difficulty == peaceful AND slimeSize != small", while the random number seed code is the same (just a difference of Hex numbers and decimal numbers). Also on the wiki discussion, people have also spotted tiny slimes spawning on peaceful.
played for hours and hours found no slime THEN I tried this, got everything ready , turned on Easy and went down my latter and already a slime. This seems to work like a charm. Nice Work!

pretty much. maybe old version or they spawned before setting to peaceful. i didn't check if 1.7 changed that though.
also i added a automatic farm tutorial, check it out :tongue.gif:
Today's thread. See post #7 and #8. Asking again in #11 and #12 for the slime sizes. Many redstone players play only in peaceful and never change it, with a world-edited map to bedrock. That is, slime spawning behavior has not changed in 1.7 or to be more specific, it hasn't changed since Beta 1.3.

ehm, to me those dont look like small slimes. they spawn quite fast if you play with an edited world like that.
i think i tested it quite thorughly back in 1.6.6 with singleplayercommands using light command. i dont think it interacted with spawning in any other way than preventing hostiles from spawning.
currently, i'm getting sick of slimes. i might test it again as soon as single player commands is out.
This correctly confirmed slime chunks in our preexisting server map and I look forward to hitting 'slime time' on our new map so we can have juicy Slimeballs for sticky pistons.
Seed!??!?
To make this work, you need to have access to your world file or its seed (as a number). If you do, just upload the level.dat using the form and the seed will be automatically parsed for you.
If you're on SMP, however, you need to use the ingame mod and log on to the server to find out the seeed your world's using.
i will now find and kill my first slime. mwahahahaha. *dies 5 seconds into the fight against a small slime
dont underestimate them ;D ! i actually got owned quite a few times while trying out traps. if you're in a pool with them, they bump you all the time and you cant even break glass :sad.gif:

Keep up the good work. :smile.gif:
go to the folders in this order:
.minecraft -> bin -> minecraft.jar
Open minecraft.jar with Winrar or 7-Zip
Move the file over and delete this folder that is inside minecraft.jar:
META-INF
thanks :biggrin.gif: didn't quite expect that honestly lol :tongue.gif:
bin/minecraft.jar , open with winrar etc, not explorer.
there are plenty of tutorials out there, here's one . this mod is installed no different.

Next to the colon it shows a random number..usually 3-4
Is this what the mods supposed to do if so how does this help?
(Im probably just missing something)

copy into and overwrite uq.class in ../.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar archive.
i also posted a video tutorial (not mine and not related to the mod) on the first post about how do this in general with any mod.
The website:
He posted the website for a reason...
message me if you want to join my whitelisted server but make sure you tell me your IGN, server IP is 174.118.99.37
so 24m = 24 blocks :smile.gif:
Edit Think i got it to work.
Most likely.
