What? This was coded with Java SDK 6.0 x64 bit I have no idea where you got the notion it was coded with VB. I think what you expected was an executable JAR file.
It was a JAR when it was compiled yes, after which I used JSmooth (a Java EXE wrapper) to make an EXE embedded with a windows icon
If this works, I swear I am going to hug you to death
Didn't really know how this was going to go. There are literally TONS of apps like this out there. And honestly they
are a LOT better than mine. I just did this basically to see if I could do it without totally screwing things up, and well I guess it worked for the most part. LOL. However since there are PLENTY more apps out there WAY better than this I'm sure you can find something either here or with someone else.

sorry i was thinking of a different mod installer. to bad this doesn't support any of the mods i want dang
Edit: oh your naming a few
does this support anything that works with mod-loader and audio-mod
by anything i mean pretty much everything
EDIT 2: but does this work for mine craft beta 1.8.1

I'm not really tinkering with it too much. There are at LEAST 3 or 4 or people out there making mod installers
better than mine. If I think of something to add that will improve it I will, otherwise just fiddle with it, you
can't hurt anything really.
mods it supports
zip files that look anything like the following
[folder] <- this HAS to be a valid folder that Minecraft WILL recognize (i.e gui, armor, net, org)
*.class
This tool supports ALL versions of Minecraft, unless they stop using Minecraft.jar or use a different setup (unlikely). The list that's included currently IS the list it supports, if you follow the above format you can add your own to the list file. The worse case scenario is you have to reinstall Minecraft. LOL I have done that dozens of times, but it makes a backup so that is unlikely.
Too tell you honestly I install all my mods by hand. I most likely here within the next couple weeks or so, or the next update include the source so that anyone that is knowledgeable in Java can make something of it, perhaps improve it significantly as long as I get credited for the original source.
could you please put the list of suitable mods on this thread? Thnx
YES PLEASE
You can add your OWN to that list read the OP and look at the About. There could be literally 100's of mods
that may work well with this tool, but I'm not going to fill up this thread listing them all. If you have a
little common sense most people should be able to figure this out, I would think.
Macs can just run .jar files. If you want a .app PM me the link to the .jar.
So Mac's can run the compiled Jar? If so, I can make a setup for that and just package it as a jar instead of adding an EXE wrapper, if that will work.
Pretty much if someone can clarify that executable JAR's compiled on a Windows PC will work on Mac's OS X I will add links accordingly for all my programs. It shouldn't be a problem as long as Java is platform independent, actually I should probably know this already lol.
Nevermind it seems....
Considering the main problem being Mac cannot execute .EXE files I would see no sense in trying to use it with a Mac. And in order for me to build a version for Mac most likely I would need a Mac with OS X to do that.
Odd - How would you even begin to run Minecraft if MY program can't detect your
Java installation? Minecraft itself requires JRE to be installed and working.
What version of the Java Runtime's are you using?
I suggest you go here and check to see if you have the latest version installed.
