I have created my own Multibin for use in Windows
Instructions:
Download the zip file from http://adf.ly/2UW3F
Unzip the Minecraft Multi Bin folder anywhere on your computer(leave the files inside this folder)
Open the Minecraft MultiBin Support.exe file that is inside of the \Minecraft Multi Bin folder
(optional) You can create a shortcut from the Minecraft MultiBin Support.exe and place it on the desktop
(optional - but be careful!) If you want to run Minecraft at higher RAM speeds edit the Start Minecraft.bat file
and edit the parts -Xmx512M -Xms512M to -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M
if you want to set your RAM speed seperate from other profiles, you can go into \Profiles\(your profile name)
and edit the minecraft.bat file to the RAM speed you want.
This is my first release of this Application and I've checked most of the things that can cause errors..
if you encounter an error please post What you did, What part of the program you were doing(Like Buttons Pressed),
as well as what the Program Did in response (show the wrong stuff, crash, function didn't work)
This Application was created from scratch using Visual Studios 2010 and contains none of the original code from the
Linux/Mac versions
I'd love to get the ability to pull logs out easily with this.
If you are talking to me:
I'll need more detail on what you mean by "pull logs out"
I am working on a way to navigate to your profile folders more easily
by adding a button called "View Profile Folder" which would help you find
and edit your texturePacks as well as your minecraft.jar file for adding mods.

I'm talking about error logs used for diagnosing crashes and properly reporting bugs to modders. Usually this can be done by running this command on the command prompt from the right directory with the Linux client (which I believe is already what you use)
Mostly I would like an easier way to do this that would start the error log for the correct profile in the correct directory and keep it open while minecraft is running.

Please make sure that you include which developer you are talking to as you could confuse everyone.
The only way to currently keep the GUI console open is to browse to your Profiles
minecraft.bat Batch File and run it like that.
I will include an option to keep The GUI hidden or un-hidden in future releases of the Windows version.
wow ... so much for my many folders of .minecraft's .... :/ still pretty epic though
I apologize about the current limit on Profiles(20) and profile name length(20), I am
still working on the current release and I am trying to avoid accidentally creating
an executable dooms-day device that will repeatedly create infinite directories on
peoples computers until they crash horribly!
If you have any questions please state who the question is to, and as for this should be in the tool section that's isn't exactly true I use this topic to post any mods I make.

The question was essentially to both, as I believe both versions are lacking such a feature.
And technically your not actually modding minecraft, I would provide Any Craft as a similar tool that was moved to the tools forum.
Updated windows version is ready to include the GUI console for debugging Mods. Will be re-released in a day or two.
hey just looked at your program and you can't include the minecraft.jar! That's illegal so, I had to take down your link until you can fix this, sorry.
make it an option for the whole .minecraft, because i have stuff in my mods/resources folders that i want to transfer too. like morecreeps, which currently is installed in the mods folder, and i dont want morecreeps in some of my other saves.

the minecraft.jar I included is not the same one that you play with but rather the jar file that launches the launcherFrame. It contains no classes from the /bin/minecraft.jar
people without premium accounts can't login to minecraft. Not to fear if you don't really care about that, but this next update of mine will not include anything BUT the EXE file.

I know its just the launcher, but I really just am trying to be safe. I don't want to have any illegal content on this thread.

I'll get it confirmed with Mojang real quick like

I made a non-premium account and made a new profile on MultiBin, then tried logging in to Minecraft with said profile. It says Login Failed, with the Play Offline button greyed out and below it in parentheses says (Not Downloaded). If the full version had already been downloaded into the profile it would actually let you play offline, basically assuming: if the full version is already Downloaded, your computer is entitled to play the full version offline, but wont download any updates or let you play online. Anyone without a premium account can download the minecraft.jar provided on the www.minecraft.net website, but can't play it until they or a friend download the full version on their computer.... I guess that makes sense... I posted the question legality on getSatisfaction Link to follow:
this is mostly illegal due to some strange extent of having to force users to download the Launcher direct from the website... Oh fazzle skids...
I hate non-Automagick file getters...
