People with a mac wish they could use INVedit.... yet the main thing is an exe..... you can open it!!!! heres how.
first install mono Framework http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page. download invedit. IMPORTANT! paste INVedit on your
desktop. open up terminal and type EXACTLY what i type
cd desktop [enter]
ls INVedit [enter]
cd INVedit [enter]
mono INVedit.exe [enter] REMEMBER!! if it doesnt open the first time, try 3 time. otherwise, your screwed
then to open an inventory, clock on open, click personal/library/app support/minecraft/saves/<your world>/ level.dat then hit open
there are other editors for mac, you can use these

TooManyItems= probably the BEST Inventory editor... its an In game INVedit. its one of the few that include cocoa beans..
it also has a way to save inventorys so you can load a diffrent inventory for diffrent situations. it also includes a useful unlimited button
