Mod edit: Please stay on topic. This is a thread about how to dispose a corpse (never thought I'd be saying that....)
Having problems. Every time I try to downgrade to 1.4_01 I can't. It says "The file 'C:Documents and Settings/(MyName)/ApplicationData/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar' Already Exists. Then if i delete Minecraft.jar it says the path is missing.. Help please? If I could get some help that would be wonderful. I tried pushing the download button and after it dowloaded it still did not work..HELP PLEASE.
I'm getting a similar problem as 'shocktroop' and 'starman junior' where it can't downgrade (I'm trying to downgrade back to 1.5_01 though) except I'm getting "Could not find a part of the path 'C:/Documents and Settings/Kevin/Application Data/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar' error instead
You've asked for the error log etc - so here's mine,
BTW I'm using Windows XP 32-bit & I also have (under add/remove programs/) the following

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service pack 2
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service pack 2
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile

On closer inspection of the error log I see that the 'path' is

However IF I make a 'dummy' {Kevin} folder & place a copy of .minecraft in it I get the exact same problems with 'minecraft.jar already exists'/'missing' that 'shocktroop' and 'starman junior' gets

Thank you very much for the extensive bug report. I am currently doing code cleanup and fixing minor bugs here and there. This will be one of them on the list.
Edit:
A major rewrite has been done. This should fix the bugs that some of you were having.

have you uploaded the new version of mc downgrader yet?
uh no it isn't my AVG internet security, malware bytes antimalware, spybot S&D, and MSE doesn't detect it as a virus. what anti virus program do you use?

really, it has a virus. i scanned it whit every single program i have on my computer, and i have 16 programs. be aware of 2 viruses!
This is not a virus. It is the encryption program to protect my program; this is after some one decided to steal my program and use it as his own. Please look up Crypto .Net then complain.
I download the patch for 1.5_01, i patch, and the program says: correctly patched! When i close the window, a popup says: new files found .jar. you want to add them in the archive? I do but when i open the game, the version is still 1.6.5.
Why? I've missed something?
EDIT: The program does the same thing with all the other versions.
My program should not be doing that. I do not remember making/adding message boxes saying that, it should not even say that after the program is closed. Are you sure that there isn't anything else running in the background that may cause this?
Try sending me a pm with your appdata location. I will send you code for a .bat which you can use.
That's odd, I do not see anything wrong with the log ...
this thing does not work. i click download, then patch, and after clicking ok to the "it was patched thing" a billion times i go to minecraft to see if it worked... sure enough im still on version 1.6.6 what do i do?

The patcher itself is fine. I have confirmed it is the .ptch files, I am trying to contact CyborgDragon about this.
It's odd, i got the downgrader, downloaded the patches, and then when i downgrade, the minecraft system still registers the game as 1.6.6, please help.
Sorry, didnt find the post above me, sorry for re posting the problem.
Thanks For this Tool, I saw a mod called Ymod and Just had to use it, but it was 1.2_02. Now I can Use it. And To all of you that cant get it to work, you have to run bsapply, or the .exe that comes with it AFTER you patch.

Where can we download it? when I click download for windows it links me to 0.9, not 1.0?
