Schematic2Blueprint is a program to slize MineCraft Schematic export files into single planes. Some people like I myself lack the creativity to build something great in MineCraft, but we still enjoy building stuff. With this program, it is possible to take awesome stuff other people made (and released as Schematic files) and generate a blueprint out of them for rebuilding them.
It also supports exports in either PNG images for the single layers or animated GIF files.
It is also usefull for finding hidden stuff in the schematics, for example, the Millennium Falcon (see below) contains a hidden smuggler chamber that most people probably wouldn't even expect.
The Schematic used in the screenshots is "Millennium Falcon Flying.schematic", which is, as the name implies, the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. Megatech rebuilt it inside MineCraft and was nice enough to let people have the schematic of it, downloadable here.
NLDEstiny, can you clarify about the Buildcraft Blueprint? I'm no developer of this program here, but I do make blueprint applications. I'm interested in what you mean by Buildcraft Blueprint?
Ah, that sounds interesting. That would be something I would try adding scehmatic->blueprint->buildcraft conversion. That'll be on my to-do list for MineCanvas later.
I know this is an old program - & according to web page it only supports up to MC 1.5.1.. but does anyone know of a similar program like this that works with minecraft 1.8..
I use this to help me build structures on a SMP (& no I don't have Op etc) but with the newer blocks (like prismarine etc) this program just doesn't work
I'm in the same boat as the last two posts. I can't get the link to work and I want to use the program. I play minecraft on the xbox with my daughter. I've got a schematic for Elsa's castle, and I want to build it for/with her.
Every reference I've found for converting a schematic to a blueprint is either to this thread or to schematica or something else that requires that I'm building on the PC version.
Hi I have managed to download this program after several attempts but do have one issue with it. When viewing Schematic files there seems to be blocks missing! Is this due to new blocks not being added to the program and if so where and how can i get uptodate files to add to this.
Yes, it's because the program isn't up to date. No, there's no additional files for you to download to make Schematic2Blueprint read the newer blocks. The program in-and-of itself needs updated and no one has "taken the torch" from Klaue to keep it up to date.
I myself have been have problems with schematic2blueprint. It is great for old schematics but base for new blocks (the new stones, or end blocks)
Alternatives have not been as simple or as useful, especially if you want an actual printout, but so far...
MinePrints.net
Upload the schematic and display it on screen (mouse rotation), layer by layer display, materials list. The floor grid (not an overlay) does not rise up with the layers making block counting tricky on some smooth block types.
However the uploaded schematic become 'public' until you delete it. Then again it is near impossible to search for a specific schematic upload from someone else, as no search engine is provided! (Google to the rescue?)
Also: Do you trust the website to really delete the schematic when you ask them to? I would not trust it with some secret plan!
Schematica Mod.
This is a client side in game mod, and lots of features
* can select and save a volume from a server into a schematic on your local drive! No world download required!
* can load in and show a 'ghost' image of a schematic from the local drive, move it around (not a great GUI), rotate it, and even display it layer by layer.
* can use the blocks in you inventory (or creative) to 'print' it in game.
The printing lets you build objects fast in survival, especially awkward to place blocks like downward, or stairs/pistons that face in a difficult direction. It is a but cheaty, but in survival you still need to gather all the resources you need. What is especially useful is you can get a schamatic save of some part, load it in, and replicate that part again and again. For example walls, roads, bridges.
However I have found 'printing' sometimes skips blocks (lag or you didn't get close enough, or you need to put a temp block for it to build against) and even sometimes gets the block wrong, (when it tried to change the block type it is printing in the hotbar, and server lag didn't update fast enough). Sometimes it also prints too fast so as to leave ghost blocks, which disappear leaving hold in you build when you come back later.
NOTE: That it is hard to use schematica when you want to use a different block to what is in the schematic. They show up as 'red (as being wrong) Because of this I have often re-saved schematics with different blocks, before 'printing' them.
Also it is hard to use a mod when it is not up-to-date with the latest minecraft release!
Update...
a newer version with updated blocks, including the igneous rocks, purpur, endbrick (not endrods or dragon heads at time of writing) is available from Inostupid Streams
I was pointed to this during preparation for a new video using world edit for preparation and schematic2blueprint for building, of a statue on a survival server

A great source for such Schematic files is the website http://www.mcschematics.com

To build this program, http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1022&t=283398 was used
Please post any bug you find here
@Mods: I decided to split this and MCSchematicTool into two threads. If you object, feel free to merge them
This link does not work anymore.... Is there another way to get this program?
