Code contributors. The simple fact is that the orphu and I have limited time, have moved on to other projects, have real life to deal with etc. The hours we put in are diminishing and the amount of work to maintain the status-quo of "it works" is increasing with each minecraft update. Culminating in 1.13 where we have no time and an insane amount of work required to get it back to "it works."
Totally understandable. Like others, I'm sorry to see MCDungeon reach its end-of-life
Minecraft is becoming a different game. Given the number of new features and code changes being presented in 1.13, 1.14 and 1.15, I'm guessing that it has become increasingly difficult to rationalize the time and effort required to stay on top of it. That's one of the challenges of modding or creating tools for games that are in never ending development.
This was and is a fantastic project. Definitely work to be proud of.
MCDungeon honestly is probably the best minecraft tool for making dungeons.
Does anyone know of a way to extract all of the possible rooms and hallways into a single Minecraft world? Given the amount of time needed to update the python code from 1.12 to 1.13 and the possible further changes in 1.14 and 1.15 it seems that this is reaching the end of its current life cycle.
I would like to be able to set up something resembling at least some of the features in MCDungeon using the structure blocks and puzzle blocks that have been/ will be added. While I doubt I can get all of the features and variability that MCDungeon has this may serve as a more manageable method of having cool dungeons on my server.
Lastly thank you to everyone that has worked on this over the years I found this last year and implemented it on my server and it has been a blast having it available all of the players and I love having it as another thing to be able to do on the server.
