Updated the main site's layout as well. Tomorrow I'll begin working on the plugin repo, unless I get sidetracked by the forum design to make it match the main page's scheme.
My interest for minecraft modding and SMP server administration started after hMod died or stopped. I don't know anything about it so if you could give me a short story on it and why it is different from the "successor" bukkit. This also leads me to the other question: If this is just a continuation of hMod, why do i want it? Bukkit is the only alternative i see other than this, so hMod stopped for a reason. Why?

They stopped updating it due to they wanted to do a recode that would kill all compatibility with at the time, current hMod plugins. This has been continued through Canary, and will have it's own recode soon that keeps compatibility. This is also an alternative for those who did not want to move over to Bukkit server management.
This made my day. I remember running hMod, and when it stopped so did my server. I could never really get used to bukkit, and have been longing for someone to start up hMod again! Now to forgot the WE commands and get back into the good ol' days of using cuboid!
Thank you so much for this good work!
I used to run a hMod server, and I wasn't really involved in the community so I had no idea hMod had stopped or that bukkit even existed. Then I found Canary, and I'm glad I did. The transition from hMod to Canary was nothing more than a name change, it was easy, and that's how I got hooked in.
I did try to switch to bukkit after the first Canary build but I couldn't, it just didn't seem worth all the trouble.
CanaryMod is easy and efficient, with a friendly community, and that's why everyone should be using it.
I learned Java just to write Canary plugins, now it's one of my favourite things to do. :biggrin.gif:
In my eyes, Minecraft wouldn't be Minecraft without CanaryMod.

You do realize that WorldEdit was originally an hMod/Canarymod plugin right? It still exists, the Bukkit version is just a recode of ours.
But yes, Cuboids2 was recently released as the new Cuboid plugin. It has all of the Cuboid commands plus more.

I love canary mod, and im glad it gets updated to the newest versions, i used canary for such a long time too, i was mad when hmod didn't get updated but when i found out about canary, i was jumping for joy! :biggrin.gif:, so theres a crow build for 1.0.0? its technically a alpha of the build right?

I'm a developer at Bukkit. What can Canary offer in terms of GUI interface and easy understanding code? I'm not criticizing I'm just asking questions. Thanks.
Not server mods, but there's a plugin list on the forums. I'll begin work on the repo soon though. Just need to finish some personal stuff first.

Read the title....this is hMod Legacy....Bukkit was designed to replace us, we were here the entire time.
