well from my deduction MLG goes center out so it would be 10,000 from spawn to edge or 20,000 for edge to edge. Also are you sure it was 12 seconds to do 20000? Seems to fast. But i would make sure you are accounting that its technically 20,000 edge to edge and not 20,000 from spay to any edge.

I believe that "restored original level.dat" is so you have your original spawn. But from looking at your stuff and then trying a 20,000x20,000 run something is wrong with yours. Where it says the whole setting spawn and stuff and eventually says (xxxx of xxxx) mine says 2809 and not 208 when doing 20,000x20,000. I would recommend downloading MLG again, install the 1.8.3 server jar or whatever version you are wanting, run it at like 1000x1000 to make sure it works, and then put your world and do your 20,000x20,000. Hope this will help you, sorry for slightly late reply.

Also Morlok8k, if i made a number of how to and etc. videos for this would you be willing to add it to Main/first post so these questions might be reduced?
delete the "MinecraftLandGenerator.log" in the world folder.
use alternate mode ("-a") in the Run_MLG_xxx.xxx script, because you are using forge.
java -jar MinecraftLandGenerator.jar 1000 1000 -a

Only way i know would to start a world in the mincraft client with the bonus chest and then transfer that world MLG.
It's a setting inside "level.dat". Yes, the "server.properties" file has no way to toggle it.
So, yes, the best way is to create one with the client then transfer the save to MLG/Server.
The other way is to edit a "level.dat" file, and then delete the region files so it can regenerate with the chest.

no, but thanks for the reminder. The existing code is too buggy to release, and there are a few things I need to add to make it release-worthy. I just whipped up a proof-of-concept a while back.
I haven't been coding in Java lately. I've been working in Python making my own game.

I've gone through this thread so much, but there is no up to date answer to help me out with this. There are a couple answers that I tried using together, but to no avail.
I'm trying to get this to work with my forge modpack. I'm getting an error that someone else had back in 2012, but that solution didn't work. The other fixes listed in here do not work either.
I need my forge.jar to launch, not the minecraft_server.1.6.4.jar in order for the world to build correctly. The error that I get is that MLG is missing libraries, just like in that 2012 post. I attempted the fix listed there, but it didn't work. I'm pretty good at figuring these things out, but I think I need an up-to-date resolution. I'm using the last Forge build for 1.6.4, and give give error logs as needed.
Take your time responding, I'm in no rush. Thank you!
Yea, i will probably make them eventually. Just wondering if he will sticky them at the top so some questions like yours quit being asked...
Good day!
So, I have been trying to get MLG to work for the last couple of hours. It just doesn't seem to work for me?
This is did:
1. downloaded MLG, ran the inital setup, the update
2. copied my forge server into MLG's directory
3. ran the MLG server - everything's fine. Nice!
4. allocated more RAM to MLG (5GB) in the config
5. ran Run_MLG_Windows.cmd, first with 1000, then 10000 and 20000. Takes about 12 seconds with 20000
It just has no result whatsoever. The world is still the same and has not expanded.
I am using these mods (the mod folder is in the MLG folder): Biomes O'Plenty, HarvestCraft, Realistic World Generation & Underground Biomes.
What am I doing wrong? ):
Thanks for any response!

The world size stays the same (~24MB) and no land has been generated. Is the "restored original level.dat" a normal thing?
I believe that "restored original level.dat" is so you have your original spawn. But from looking at your stuff and then trying a 20,000x20,000 run something is wrong with yours. Where it says the whole setting spawn and stuff and eventually says (xxxx of xxxx) mine says 2809 and not 208 when doing 20,000x20,000. I would recommend downloading MLG again, install the 1.8.3 server jar or whatever version you are wanting, run it at like 1000x1000 to make sure it works, and then put your world and do your 20,000x20,000. Hope this will help you, sorry for slightly late reply.
yep. videos are not my specialty. go for it.
ok, so the problem is that MLG is not running the server.
either change the name of your server to "minecraft_server.jar" or change the "MinecraftLandGenerator.conf" file to point to your server.
this section: "Java=java -Djava.awt.headless=true -Djline.terminal=jline.UnsupportedTerminal -Duser.language=en -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -Xincgc -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui"
other things you need to do:
delete the "MinecraftLandGenerator.log" in the world folder.
use alternate mode ("-a") in the Run_MLG_xxx.xxx script, because you are using forge.
java -jar MinecraftLandGenerator.jar 1000 1000 -a

Has taken a long time, but i have finally started working on the MLG videos.

Take your time responding, I'm in no rush. Thank you!
I guess it's a good thing that I have this organized so well. Here you go!
EDIT: Just double checking, the X/Z numbers are for how many blocks are loaded, not chunks, correct?
